This paper is very sturdy with very minimal buckling. I use a good bit of water when painting acrylics and this paper is very good for practice.

My giftee liked the fact there were two pads and that the paper inside coulde be used for multiple types of paints and markers. The spiral wire at the top for keeping a page and flipping to the next is also a plus.

I got these to use for color studies and making color palettes, kind of like a color making journal. There are no perforations so if you tear out a page it will have a ragged edge but I don't plan on removing the pages I paint on. I want to keep them all together, like I said, as a journal. These pads are perfect for that. The paper holds up well. I did not treat it with a gel medium or anything else. I used Liquitex Basics Acrylic on them and it's held the paint well without warping. Great paper pads for practicing.
