I got these to use to apply a clear weather proof coating to my wooden columns on our front porch. I could not be happier in how they functioned. They applied the material evenly all the way. Since it would have cost me a great deal of money to buy the solvents needed to clean an expensive paint brush, i would wrap these in plastic film between coats. When finished, they went into the trash can. NO CLEANING OR DISCARDING an expensive brush. Huge time and money saver.

I have ordered these and compared them to the ones I purchased from Home Depot. Not much different other than the price. These are cheaper. I know these are designed to be disposable, but with a little care I have been able to reuse one of these a few times before throwing them out. Great for applying stain.

These sponge brushes are great for adding gloss to acrylic paintings. They add vibrance and lustre without brush marks.

I like to apply polyurethane with foam brushes so I can toss them when I am done with the coat I am working on. This DOES have a plastic reinforcement inside of the sponge which is great. The problem is that it will pill after a bit of use (parts of the sponge break off and get embedded in the poly). Obviously, I don't want small black chunks in anything I am applying polyurethane to so this isn't great. The reason I settled on 3 stars is that this pilling only seems to happen after a fair amount of use. I can get a good amount of use before it starts to be a problem and just use another one. If you wanted these so kids could apply paint to cardboard for a homecoming float, they are perfect. I think Polyurethane is just too thick and sticky for the sponge material. I was considering cutting the poly with mineral spirits to thin it up and bit and help these brushes but I really shouldn't have to do that. Honestly, because they are so cheap, it is pretty much worth it to just use 2 for each coat, just be aware.

The brushes were needed for applying tongue oil onto a wood project. They worked great and the piece looks beautiful.

I use these especially when you need a straight edge. I painted window trim with them. Each brush does not last a real long time, but enough for me. And there are always more to use in this big batch of brushes.

Very disappointed that these brushes do not hold up to the lightest of tasks. While applying water-based stain on pine wood, these brushes (2" and 3") literally disintegrated within a few brush strokes, leaving behind bits of foam that nearly ruined my finish. I expected low quality for the price, but not something that fell apart after less than a dozen brush strokes.
