The original AOS in my 2004 Boxster S was leaking internally, leading to oil buildup in the intake manifold—a common problem for Porsche 986 Boxsters. After some research, I found that the URO 99610702601 Oil Separator is an excellent alternative to the OEM part, at about a third of the cost. Installation was straightforward with the right tools. Since I’ve done it before, it only took me about an hour. There are plenty of helpful YouTube videos to guide the process. After replacing the AOS, no more oil has been found in the intake pipes. Overall, I'm very satisfied with the product and hopeful it will last as long as the OEM version.

Fits perfectly. Winter here so can really try out the car. We’ll see if blue smoke comes back after a good intense drive.

Second time I have installed a URO AOS that was immediately faulty. Ordered the part here because I needed it fast, full aware that they are hit or miss. Should have gone with OEM. Unfortunately I went on vacation after installation and by the time I verified that once again my intake was full of oil due to the faulty AOS, the return period had ended. Total junk, do not order URO.

Probable got a bad unit, not shotgunning parts at my Cayman but measuring in of water with digital meter at the oil fill cap. My old unit was bad for sure, new unit is reading from 5 to 8 inches of water after changing it out to a branded oem unit reading a stable 5.5 in water column, yes 40 bucks more not worth changing the aos out again along with cleaning up the oil mess it made yet again through the whole intake system along with maf sensor, plugs ect. I was cheap and paid for it. Maybe Porsche failure from the box is just as high who knows, just happy I can do the measurements and work myself. This is easy diagnose if your shop is guessing then find a new shop. I will state you cant have other issues changing a possible bad aos is not going to fix bore scoring or vacuum leaks ECT. I do belive I just got a bad unit and that happens, amazon and the vendor are returning the part so they are making things right although I would go with a Porsche unit as I did, causes to many other issues that take took me about a half day to repair.

Replaced the oil separator in my wife's 2007 Cayman S with this unit at about 75,000 miles. Now at about 90,000 miles and working perfectly.

The actual product itself deserves only a 1 star. The AOS is notorious for failure. Even though my original one did not fail. I installed this as a preventive. I would rather replace this every 20k miles, rather than rip everything open and clean the mess when it does fail.....MAF, throttle body, plenum, spark plugs. And it's not a matter of if...but when. The 5 stars goes out to the shipper as they were extremely fast and that, this is a OEM part without the "Porsche tax"!Good luck.
