loosened the tension on all my string while adjusting the bridge. Put my upright Kay bass on it's side and heard the sound of the soundpost dropping. Yikes !!!!!!!orderd this tool and was able, without to much trouble, to reinsert and position the soundpost.Memo to self: if you have to loosen all the strings don't put your bass on it's side.

Works as it should. Got the sound post up and in the right spot in an hour... it wasn’t super sharp so I sharpened it a bit... I wouldn’t try this unless you know what you are doing or are in a jam... but this product arrived fast and works well... just be careful not to scratch the f holes...
