It wouldn't go over the bridge properly without feeling like i was ginna break my bass and then it just didn't affect the sound at all. It didnt mute it or do anything in general.

Don’t need to say much else. Bought this because of a musical I was working on and figured this would be good and the sound was excellent. Sound guy was very happy as well as the other musicians. Occasionally, I’ll leave it on while practicing to dampen the sound in live rooms.

I got a cheap mute because my old one got stolen while at an orchestra event. I opened it up before my rehearsal, and it looked horrible. Was expecting lower tone quality, but this one came all messed up. Scrapes, cuts, and dents everywhere. Absolutely awful quality. Tone is absolutely horrible as well. Don’t waste your money on this because you are going to end up getting trash.

This mute is a good replica of the Tourte and is just as effective - which is to say it makes a *subtle* difference in the color of your bass. Received in perfect condition about 3 weeks after ordering - within the window estimated by the seller.
