This is easy to install, inexpensive, and a perfect fit for my oven. The only reason I gave it only 4 stars instead of 5 is lack of durability. This is the second one I have purchased, and the last one didn't make it 3 years. It should have a longer life.

We was concerned if it was the right one but my 2nd oldest researched it for us. It fit perfectly, but it's not just plug in like the burners on top. You will need a 1/4 " socket and something like good nails or a pair of pliers to unplug from the connectors and plug the new one in. Be careful to not let the connectors go in the back so it was easy enough took less than 1/2 hour to do it ourselves. One person can do it we just do everything together. The price definitely beats going out to buy a whole new stove, we was pricing the most inexpensive ones around $500 for a whole new stove. Thank you for having this product and at a resonable cost.

My heating element on the oven went out which is explains why it didn’t preheat properly and the bottom of my baked items were undercooked. I looked up the element on the GE website and it was twice as much.I bought this and it was delivered quickly in safe condition. The install took about 5 minutes with removing the old one. One of the wires was stubborn and would come off. After installation, I preheated the oven to 375 and it was preheated in about 7 minutes. Been working ever since. Does what it needs to.

My oven recently had the old coil start sparking but we couldn’t afford a new oven. I purchased this and was able to replace it myself within 5 minutes. Saved myself a ton of money and now the heat level is even better than before. Great quality. Please be aware it will smell weird the first couple of times you use it!!! That’s completely normal. Yes, I did the research for you 😊😊

A few months ago I noticed that a portion of the heating element at the bottom was super red and lit up when the rest wasn't when I had the oven on. I didn't think much of it at the time. I figured since I didn't use it much anyway that I'll take care of it when I had time. Of course the holidays and all the extra baking made the problem more prominent. Finally a few days ago the bottom heating element stopped working altogether! So, I scoured online trying to find the part using the oven's model number. Found the part on a separate website, but it was $104 not including shipping. Since it was an official appliance website I figured I could find out the part's number and use it to find a cheaper alternative. Found the part by it's number and on Amazon for $32 with prime shipping! I was like "I'm a prime member!" Bought it. It came in just an hour ago.Went on YouTube and found a quick installation video by AppliancePartsPros that's about 3 min. It was very helpful, because when I got the screws out and I was like "what the heck is this?!" I thought I had to solder for a moment, because I had trouble seeing what I was doing because the lighting wasn't great. Apparently it's like a slip on tab, but it was so tight I thought it was soldered. I've done soldering before, but I suck at it. Luckily the video cleared up my understanding, and eventually got the tabs off and properly installed the new element. When I pulled out the old one I got to really see how it broke. The first picture is of the old element and it looked like it split and melted. Second is of the tabs I had trouble seeing so I took a pic with the flash on to get an idea of what I was dealing with. Finally was the element installed and the oven plugged back in so I can test it out. It worked out great! In fact I think it heated up faster than before!Sorry with how dirty the oven is. It's way overdue for a cleaning (Thanksgiving also did a number on it. We were a little overambitious). I haven't DIY something in a while so I feel rather accomplished. Plus I saved money on a part and didn't have to get a whole new oven! Score!
