Although the package instructions indicate that the heater pad can remain on, there is no option on the keypad for that.

As the weather starts to cool down, I plan to use this heater for my home brew. I want to try different yeast strains and some have certain temp requirements. I use 1 gallon jars to 5 gallon buckets. This definitely fits my 2 gallon buckets. May need to use some additional straps for a 5 gallon, but have no doubt this will heat up and maintain my desired temperature. The cords are plenty long enough. The temp probe is small enough to slide under the strap to help get a somewhat accurate reading. I can saw this lasting for some time. Decent build quality.

This Digital Kombucha Heating Wrap is working great for my second batch of Kombucha. I did quite a bit of research prior to my second batch (as the first one didn’t turn out the greatest) and having this wrap around heater has made this process go much more smoothly. My home stays pretty cool in the months the AC is constantly running, so this mat has really helped during brewing as well with the fermenting stages.The digital temperature gauge has enabled me to brew at the exact temperatures I need. I am able to adjust and readjust if needed with the temperature probe that is attached to the heater. A good batch of Kombucha needs just the right temperatures, too low or too high of temperatures can really affect the strength and overall taste.The mat fits snug and secure around the 1 gallon jar I made it on. The adjustable Velcro strap makes sure it stays in place.If you make your own Kombucha this really makes the process so much easier.I will never make another batch without this heat mat.
