This potato ricer/masher is great for making large quantities of mashed potatoes quickly. For things like holiday dinners, it's amazing. Boil and quarter potatoes, drop in the basket and squeeze. Use a wooden spoon or spatula to remove the mashed potatoes into the bowl underneath, and repeat. It cleans up easily with a dish brush and appears to be quite stout for years of use. The only negative is that it's a bit bulky to store in your gadget drawer; this is an immutable fact of kitchen gadgets and space.

I love mashed potatoes but worried about how much space this tool would take up. If you like super smooth potatoes though it's absolutely worth it. The stainless steel is heavy duty so you don't have to worry about it bending or breaking. The components come apart easily for cleaning. Once loaded with boiled potatoes you do need to use quite a bit of force to get the ricing started, but it is absolutely worth the effort.

This ricer seems pretty well made and should work out good! Large opening so you can rice a whole potato, not have to cut in half. Sturdy product that should last!

This thing does a great job making smooth potatoes. No lumps. Make sure to remove skin as it can clog the ricer. Well built, does not feel like it is breakable.

I thought this was going to make things a lot faster ,easier than mashing my own potatoes . It does work it's just messy when you go to squeeze the potatoes in it comes out of the top plate and make some mess on the counter or stove. But it does work just lose some of your potatoes. The amount that you lose is very minimal but it is a bit messy and can be a challenge to clean it unless you use very hot water and have a wire brush. It does work though.

I was waiting until Thanksgiving to give this a try and I am impressed! Easy to rice out even sweet potatoes! Potatoes in, push and it does a remarkable job at pushing through quite a bit of potatoes. With sweet potatoes especially, clean up took some doing as the fibers were sticking together and it took a few extra minutes to clean but all in all, I have no real complaints. I love it!

This item is crap. I used it once. The pin constantly comes out. It does work when the pin stays in but there is nothing on the end to keep the pin from coming out. Worse product ever. Also it’s not cheap. So you think it would be better made.
