I was prepared to write a scathing review on day two of ownership, but held off. Good thing. The product arrived coiled in a box, fully assembled, and ready for use. I connected it to my cleaner and the wall port and anxiously watched it simply spin circles and tie knots in the hose. This was due to “memory” in the hose from being coiled. I left the hose in the pool for a week, stretching it out every couple days. A week later, it works perfectly. No more coiling and my water is crystal clear. Happily Satisfied.

I needed a new hose and the wall fitting broke. Leslie's pool supply said they would have to order it, and it would take 5 business days for $250.00. Oh, and the backup valve would not be included. Well, I was absolutely astonished by this, needless to say., I told the man I would see him in hell before I paid that price for a hose. Do I get a happy ending for that price?I went home and ordered this hose from Amazon along with a pizza from Round Table. Just as promised it arrived in just two days (The hose not the pizza). I was elated when I opened the package. The hose was completely assembled with everything. The backup valve. The floats. The fittings. I just had to screw the puppy into the wall and into the polaris.This absolute brilliant purchase I made not only fueled my rather fragile ego it gave me a shot in the vein with confidence. I took my shirt off, and walked down the street as if I was Spartacus .

Overall seems like a decent product but has one major flaw that would keep me from buying it again. During warmer temps the hose worked great. Now that it is getting colder out the material stiffens up and loses most of the flexibility. This causes the cleaner and hose to bunch up and get stuck. I keep pulling it out of the water every few days to warm up in the sun and try to straighten it out but one day I the cold water and it back to a stiff mess.

Purchased this item at the end of May 2023 and at first it was great compared to the old hose I had for nearly 6 or 7 years. New hose was plyable and the Polaris had zero problems moving around cleaning all parts of the pool even it became kinked it would work itself out. Thought I had a winner.... Boy was I wrong!!! After several months went by it started to harden just like the old hose but wasn't enough to keep the Polaris from doing most of its job. Another few months went by and now the hose is hard as a rock. I've taken it out and let it sit in the sun for 24-48 hrs to try to thaw because its winter here so i would expect it to get a little stiffer this time of year. But I live in south GA not Minnesota so the winters are usually mild. Trying to thaw the hose hasn't helped much and remains very rigid and jerks my Polaris around the pool not allowing it to clean much of the pool at all. This was not a dollar store hose for 130$ and I would expect more for the money. Very unhappy about this because I have to spend some more money on a new hose that is hopefully of better quality. Which will probably be even more expensive. Would be willing to try a replacement but got no where with Amazon return/replacement feature. Very dissatisfied as of now

Introduction: We didn't realize how stiff our cleaner hose was until we replaced it. Then it started working better as it wasn't fighting the stiffness of the hose it was connected to. It definitely improved our cleaner performance.Installation: If first time dealing with a cleaner hose replacement, install probably requires 30 minutes of time for adjustments if necessary. The hose comes as a set length that you can trim to the size you need. You can replicate what you already have or you can measure from the outlet to the furthest point in the pool. The hose and the fittings require a bit of strength in the hands to put on. Easier to put fittings on than to remove them so be sure you like the measurements before fitting everything together. After you have it trimmed and fitted together, installation is super easy and should be plug and play.Features: There are floats that can be adjusted at different lengths to prevent the hose from tangling. The wall fitting is the quick fit type that is common with the cleaner hoses. The included in-line filter is a nice addition we didn't have before. You can easily see in so you know when it needs to be emptied. The screw on/off lid of the filter has been easy to get on and off since purchase (4 months). The hose is nice and soft rubber when first purchased, but will likely harden over time. Since purchase, it seems to be the same pliability and has not become stiff yet. However, given our prior hose being so stiff, I think replacing this hose every 1-2 yrs might be a good idea.Overall: After 4 months, it has held up quite well and improved our cleaner performance. Pliability has not changed thus far. Installation sometimes requires some trimming of the hose length and adjustment of fittings. Price was slightly cheaper than name brands, and I don't regret going with this brand. No complaints.

Jose has become rigid within a couple of months. All it does is twist up constantly. Having to straighten it out a couple of times a day

This product will work fine but expect some issues when installing. First, the "coil memory" of the tubing acts as a spring and keeps pulling the cleaner back to the point where it is connected. It takes some time for this coil memory to dissipate. I found stretching it out in a straight line in warm weather helps. The second issue is that valve tends to get under the cleaner and things get all tangled up (see photo). I solved this by taking one of the floaters from my old hose and placing it right above the valve. Working fine now.
