Older BT soundboard here, doesn't support AptX (not sure this does either?). Nevertheless, the delay here is simply too great for TV watching. Big delay. Other BT TX comparing to has virtually no delay,.so not sure what the diff is. Both BT 5.3 chips.Edit: tested on newer headphones that support newer codes and had much better delay. Just seems to not work well with my sound bar for unknown reasons. Also had really hard time pairing. Incredibly frustrating to pair. Try like 10 times turning off and on, got it to pair once, then never again.Audio on this is nice, when connected. Love the bass and treble adjustment, great features. Wish it would have worked for my use case. For audio only this would be great, but when videos involves mad sync issues

I opened the box, hooked it up, and it works. Can't get much better than that, I guess. For what I bought it for, it has worked great so far. I plug my 8-track player up to it so I can play it through my monster speakers. Works like a charm. Yes, I said 8-track player. I'm old so there! I can't say it would be much good for watching tv through wireless headphones though. There is a huge, and I mean huge delay in the transmission. I don't know the exact length of time but to give an example, however long it takes to sing the row row row in the song row row row your boat. I'm sure it could sing a round with itself. In my case, it doesn't matter. So, it is not a problem. The remote isn't great. I mean it works, but not from very far away, and it must be pointed directly in front of the thingy. It gave me trouble starting at about 6 feet away. Then again, it is not an issue for me because once I get it set the way I want, I just let run till I'm done. Some reviewers have complained about not being able to turn the unit on with the remote. This doesn't bother me at all, since I have to get up as shove an 8-track tape in the tape deck anyway. Might as well turn it on then, right? Anyhoo. For transmitting from a tape deck or turntable or other such device, I would give it 4 stars. I may update this review if something goes totally wrong in the near future. Till then, let the music play.

It is an excellent transmitter and works very well. It has many cool features that work well, like bass and treble control and volume control!

I really hate to leave a one star review, but the design choices and strange functioning of the unit make it more annoying than useful.Summary:Pros:• Sounds good with low latency, quick setup. Remote works great.Cons that doom the product:• You CANNOT turn ON the unit with remote but you can turn it OFF with remote. To turn on, you have to twist a knob all the way off and back on again. Because of this, you cannot set a consistent volume level.• It will randomly connect to neighbors' bluetooth devices• It will lock up your BT headphones until you turn it off if you try to use your headphones on another device (like a phone or ipad).• It will say "connected" at random times while you are using it• The decorative LEDs look pretty but are bright / distracting and you can't turn them off.I was so excited for this to replace a noisy and ancient setup I had at home. I needed 2 things: 1) remote and 2) bluetube transmission (which is not easy to find actually with a remote and latest BT). This item has those plus Bluetooth 5.4. Sadly the cons render it not great.I contacted the company about not being able to use the remote to turn on the device and their rationale was that this was a "battery saving feature"? Huh? Why does a unit not made for the car need a battery? How does not being able to turn it on with a remote save batteries? To turn it back on again, you have to twist the knob all the way to the off position. I thought a work around would be to just leave the unit on always however the random connecting and voice prompts plus bright LEDs don't work for me.*sigh*

Honestly I’m quite surprised, I didn’t expected lot from this little thing. I connect it to my Amp and disabled the amps Bluetooth and started using the M18. First thing I have noticed, was that I had to reduce the sub frequency on my amp as the M18 was sending stronger brighter audio to the amp sort of like a pre-amp. M18 comes with volume, treble and bass control, so I have dialed all three to the max on the M18, while controlling the levels only on the amp. Some mentioned that the remote can only turn the M18 off, yes that is correct, as per the instruction manual the power button on the remote will only turn the unit off, you’ll have to turn it back on manually while this is kind of weird but that’s the way this thing is designed, and when you start using it like that, you’ll understand why. There’s also three or four equalizer settings on the remote, it is hard to tell which one are you using, I can’t figure if there’s any light indicators, but I can hear the difference so by the sound stage I figured there is three maybe four different levels of sound. The Bluetooth range It’s pretty good and even works through a couple of walls. It also workswith my Technics music tower from 1994, using RCA cables. So far so good I really enjoy this little device.
