I am satisfied with the quality of this damper. It is sturdier than I had in mind. It's the size of a male receiver of a standard 4" duct, but will not slide all the way through as far as I tried. I had to attach standard 4" ducting to either side of it.

Exactly what we needed for our kitchen exhaust. these ducts prevents the cold air to flow in the house from the outside during the winter seasons in Canada. We didn't have one installed and we could feel the air blowing into the house through the duct. Overall it is a great upgrade for the house.

My local Lowe’s didn’t carry these so I ordered from amazon. Shipped next day which was great! Damper works exactly as it should. The gasket provides some sound dampening so you don’t hear the metal flaps. I installed this for a range hood exhaust and am very pleased.

Without these valves, the hot and damper air from one dryer will blow to the other dryer. These valves will guide the air going out one way to the main vent.

I got the 3-7/8" (they call it 4") version. I'm installing them inline on my bath fan exhaust runs - I'm so sick of the awful plastic teeter-totter dampers broan includes with their bath fans! And terminator dampers just don't work that well for air infiltration. The axle spring appears strong enough to close the butterfly wings even in a stiff pressure imbalance while still being weak enough to open even with a weak fan. A victory for physics! I am, however, mildly concerned about galvanic corrosion since most duct work is aluminum and this is steel - I'm no metallurgical engineer, but it seems inevitable (and will possibly be an issue for the next homeowner).Overall, looking forward to my bathrooms (hypothetically) being quieter and warmer this winter. 4*

I moved into a different house last year where the prior owners didn't mind dust as much as I do. After having the HVAC supply ducts and returns professionally cleaned, I looked more closely at the bathroom vents and dryer exhaust ducting. All were accessible via the attic for me. When I opened up one end of the flex pipe, dust, dirt, and lint was caked on the inside "accordian" walls. After trying to blow one out with compressed air, I gave up and decided just to replace the old flex pipes with a new ones. I added these duct dampers in-line to block cold outside air from coming back into the bathroom during the winter.
