This item is exactly as described, a 6-inch diameter black plastic flange for a PVC pipe. I am not using this item for plumbing, but for Car Audio. The item is fitted at the end of a 6-inch diameter PVC pipe for a vented subwoofer enclosure. The flange is flush with the end of the pipe (port) and will cover the cut-out hole in the wood and carpet for a finished look. This item worked perfectly for my intended application. The plastic is thick enough to be rugged and durable, but not too thick as to impede on the opening diameter.

I use these flanges as a pair to pass a 6" air hose through a window. I took a sheet a plexiglass and cut a 6" hole in it, then sized the plexiglass to fit the window width and the height I wanted. I screwed the flanges onto the plexiglass flange to flange and then wedged it into the open window, closing the window on the plexiglass for a snug fit. Then I attached the ducting to the flanges and I was done. This allowed me to vent th smoke and fumes from a laser engraver out of the garage. It also saved me from having to damage a window in doing this. Worked well.

Good for giving a finished look for your hole โ your duct hole. I cut some wood (instead of sheetrock) that goes around the duct but even though it's a pretty good cut, it still could look a bit more finished. That's where these come into play. It makes it looks clean.

I purchased these duct connectors new from Wadoy via Amazon but received what seemed to be an inferior quality item. All product photos show a connector with 6 holes, thick sturdy flange, 45ยบ reinforced union at the flange, and textured plastic. I received connectors with 4 holes, same thickness throughout, unreinforced right angle union at the flange, and smooth plastic. The connector bends and twists easily with minimal force.I decided to purchase a different brand to compare. The white Europlast connectors are 65% thicker (3.1mm vs 1.9mm), 30% heavier, and have 6 holes. At time of writing Europlast costs only 13% more.The Wadoy connectors may have been as pictured at one time, but it seems to be a bait and switch now. The dimensions are accurate for connecting to 6" duct, but otherwise this item was a disappointment and will be returned.
