Precautions - Problems with the Use of Baby Monitors

Simyke Baby Monitor Factory Defaults to VOX Mode

When no sound is detected, the display will turn off to enter power saving mode, and when sound is detected, the display will light up to remind you.

Tips: When you receive the monitor to use, enter the VOX power saving mode, this is not the baby monitor is broken, if you do not like this function can manually cancel.

FAQs & Troubleshooting

My baby monitor is not working normally or is performing erratically.

1: Confirm proper installation power supply is securely plugged in. You should only use the Simyke power supply provided with your baby monitor. Make sure the electrical outlet is working and not controlled by a wall switch.

2: Make sure the parent unit and baby camera are turned on. Make sure that the blue light on the back of the camera is on.

3: The parent unit may be too far away from the baby unit. Or, other equipment or devices in your house may be affecting the connection between your parent unit and baby unit(s). Try placing the parent unit at least 3 feet away from WiFi devices, including laptops, smartphones, router, tablets and other WiFi streaming devices. Then, try to move your parent unit around (e.g. closer to baby unit or away from Wi-Fi devices) to find better reception. When placing the units closer together; note that they should not be closer than 3 feet apart.

4: Try resetting the parent and baby unit:

Step 1. Disconnect the power to the baby unit and parent unit.

Step 2. Wait approximately 15 secs.

Step 3. Reinstall adapter to the baby and parent unit.

Step 4. Wait one minute for the baby device and parent device to reconnect.

*Noise static and other erratic performance may be caused by nearby

electronic equipment and other cordless devices using the same frequency.

Separate your baby monitor from these devices as much as possible.

Unable to scan QR code to connect to network

First you need to check the following issues:

1) Whether the baby camera is properly plugged in and turned on

2) Whether the baby camera enters the network Pairing mode normally

3) Whether the app side can normally generate the correct QR code screenshot

4) Whether the camera prompts successful code scanning

5) Can not read the QR code prompted what

6）What is the specific tip of not being able to connect to the network

7) Whether the router is a 5G frequency band (currently only supports 2.4G WiFi)

All of the above may lead to the device can not be normal with the network.

If the baby camera can scan the code normally, but can not connect to the network prompts network connection timeout, you need to confirm whether the router is 5G or the phone's QR code is correct.

If you confirm that you have entered the Pairing mode and keep reminding the code scanning timeout, try restarting the baby camera and re-enter the Pairing mode to scan the code.

We bought this camera set because our old one finally pooped out. With a new baby on the way we wanted two but were short on funds. These are absolutely horrible cameras, the video quality is like static and one of the cameras wouldn’t even connect to the monitor or the app. It has no zoom feature and had to go on the complete opposite side of the room just to be able to see the crib and I can’t even see my baby from there. I tried to hang it on the wall above the crib and it does not even stay in place on its stand it just fall and looks at the wall. It’s in the process of being returned and will just have to wait and save more for a better one. Just don’t do it!

I gave this monitor a shot despite the mixed reviews because of price point and because I love how small the parent unit is (2.8”, very lightweight). However I ended up returning it. The app did connect to both cameras and did load the views initially but when I tried watching from the app just a bit later (and several times thereafter) it either took over two minutes to load or didn’t load at all (my WiFi strength is great). This doesn’t have Split View, it rotates between cameras and the picture quality isn’t great but that didn’t matter to me as I have older toddlers. The camera does work without WiFi (like a traditional baby monitor). The buttons are bit harder to press and not necessarily intuitive.

I recently bought a baby cam to keep an eye on my dog, and it’s been a great addition. While it’s not 4K quality, it serves its purpose well. The dedicated baby monitor screen is convenient for moving around the house, allowing me to check in on my pup easily. The connection is reliable when on the same network, and I can also monitor through an app when I’m away, which gives me peace of mind. Overall, this baby cam is good for its purpose. It’s user-friendly and practical for pet monitoring. I would definitely recommend it!

These are great to have. We bought them to put in our spare bedrooms for when our grandkids spend the night. They were very easy to set up, have great picture quality and battery life. I like that you can view on ur phone from the app or from the monitor. I also like that you can make the screen rotate fromEach room and can also play white noise or talk to the kids if need be. Great product!!

So I needed a second camera for when we flew to visit my dad's house for my daughter. I saw this and I didn't take the time to read the reviews so it's my fault. Let's just forget how terrible the video quality is. Because it is. Let's talk about the App for the camera and how it hasn't worked for 2 days and keeps crashing. Don't believe me? just go on the app store and see every customer saying it doesn't work. It has worked once. So disappointed and a waste of money. I hope others don't make the same mistake and buy this without doing research.
