I rarely leave reviews but want to save someone else the trouble. These are very cheaply made and would not last multiple uses. Spend the $5 to $10 extra and save yourself the trouble of having to return these and order a different one anyway.

This sort of tool is indispensable if you run into any sort of electrical connectors whilst performing automotive repairs. It's especially useful when working on older cars where the brittle plastic may create a situation wherein a damaged connector may impede module function. The tool is a good size to work with, with thick jaws and a pistol grip style handle. The corollary is that they may not fit in tight spaces such as inside the dashboard or in a door.Unless I'm mistaken, the idea with these is to make it easier for you to release the locking tab that secures one side of an electrical connection to the other, but as anyone who works on cars knows, releasing the tab is only half the battle. Separating the two sides of the connector is sometimes challenging, especially on older models or connections that have never been released since installed at the factory. I can see these being an asset, but with the size and leverage it remains to be seen whether they'll truly aid in delicate repairs or be more of a bull in a china shop.At present it has been too Decembery outside to attempt any work involving pigtail connectors, so I haven't yet had a chance to test these out and see just how exactly they're supposed to make my life easier. The 4 star rating will perhaps be adjusted up or down by a star once I've gotten a better idea of whether these are a godsend or a gimmick.

These are stamped out of sheet metal, with the two halves connected by a lightweight rivet. The photos make the tool look heavier than it is. The real article feels overly light and flimsy. While the size and shape (especially that 60° angle) appeal to me, the actual tool just doesn't feel trustworthy in my hand. I find myself reaching past these to use tools that might have less useful forms, but which I can trust better to do the job.

I wish I had gotten this earlier. Wire connectors have really become a pain and there are numerous of them. It saves time and money and didn’t cost much.

These are just pressed tin. They’d work in a pinch but won’t last long
