Been contemplating buying this for a while because I restore classic cars on the side. Finally pulled the trigger and it helped me extract three rounded off and rusted seat bolts from a 1969 Ford bronco. This tool has already paid for itself!

much like my Oscillating Multi-tool, I never thought I would need a socket set like this until I actually got it, and it's so useful it's amazing. Of course, if you NEVER run into stripped bolts or nuts then don't bother with this. Yeah, right.But everyone eventually does, and just one stripped nut really justifies the price. dealing with stripped bolt or nut heads is soo much easier with these sockets! just find one that "almost" fits on the socket head (too tight), and pound it on using a mallet, it bites into the head, and blamo! bolt comes right out. turns a 45m frustrating process into a 45 second Bolt extraction.You can even use it to put that same bolt back in, though I would recommend a new bolt since each time you use these, they tear the crap out of the bolt head, and everyone knows that a stripped bolt is not a long term solution, unless it's a side of the road emergency fix.

I baught this becauae I had an old bolt that wouldn't come out of the lower shock on my 2006 civic and it was seized and ended up mostly stripping the head of the bolt. I baught this set and happily it had the size I needed. In fact as I torqued on the bold I was thinking possibly the bolt head might actually end up snapping off before the bite actually gave in. BUT the bolt held together and the tool did an amazing job. Paid for itself on first use.

Only 3 stars because it didn't get the bolt out and I was missing a 13mm (got two 12mm instead). Now I'm unsure if it being unsuccessful was a function of the user or the tool, but I'm pretty sure it was the user. Nice kit, everything there except I had two 12mm sockets and no 13mm which wasn't ideal. It's in my toolbox and I'm hopeful it'll come in handy in the future. Maybe send a 13mm if the seller sees this? Thanks!
