Wrong length. Be prepared with an angle grinder and bench vice to do some mild metal work.I don’t even know if they work.

Fixed my washer! No more shaking and banging. It takes a little to install but well worth the effort. Years of heavy loads stretched the original springs and had the washer banging like crazy, put these in and now it runs quietly. Glad I found these, if you are not afraid if taking a washer apart then they are better than just buying a new one.

Repair costs so cheap thanks to my bf installing. He said it should take two people. Once fixed the balance is great no knocking.

I have a Whirlpool washer, model #: WTW4816FW2, that these Suspension Rod (W10780045) should fit. Not sure yet if they fixed my problem of noise, banging and moving around. The installation was fairly simple. However, the rods are longer (about an inch) but the cup and holder (?) are sits about and inch higher to compensate for the extra length. The cups needed to have the tabs trimmed off of, in order for it to fit into my washer model. Suggest you checkout a couple of the various online videos (not just one) before attempting this DIY project. But all in all the installation took me about 45 minutes. Just waiting on my wife to run a heavy load to test wether or it fixed anything.

These rods are about half inch longer, the plastic parts are not compatible so needed to use the original plastic parts. At the end these rods worked, I used the machine 3 times before writing this review. Machine brand Whirlpool model 1CWTW4705GW0

So my basket dropped down inside my washer causing a huge gap and quite a racket when spinning. I saw a video on the springs and replaced them. Fairly easy install if you are mechanically inclined, just a quick video on taking the top of the machine off and go for it.I purchased these and they are holding strong, thankful to have these over the cost of a new washer, solid buy!
