Don’t waste your money on any other brand

Well-made lightweight aluminum. Rubber feet for grip.Legs snap closed so they don't flop around when closed.Clamps are well made and include rubber O-rings between each section to help soften a drop. You can slide them up for a little extra support.1/4" mount on top has an outer flange / ring for easy tightening of the setscrew. Includes a decent rubber pad for the camera.If you use the stand for a recording Mic, you WILL need an adapter, which is NOT included.Incudes a nice carry bag for the stand and a sandbag for counterweight.

I think i have received one that had previously been returned as defective. Everything seems to be there, but the bag was unzipped when I got it.With that being said, the screw threads to attach to the Chameleon are misthreaded. It will not attach to the camera. The smaller tripod worked fine which is how I know the threads are the issue.Disappointing because this stalled in shipping so I did not get a chance to test it before the game.

I'm pretty disappointed with this stand. To be fair, I'm used to Manfrotto equipment so this might not be a fair comparison, but this in NO WAY seems like it's worth $189. Feels incredibly lightweight and flimsy for the declared value, and the hardware is sub par for the retail price. All the locks are screw knobs and it does not seem particularly stable. At full 13' extension there is no way I'd trust it with a heavy weight camera, never mind a 22lb one. It's nice that it comes with a carrying case and weight bags, but I absolutely can not justify anyone paying full price.I'm going to relegate this to alternate angle shots with the action camera or for lighting; something not critical.

This is a really great tripod. We used it in snow, rain, and wind. It did held up with no problems.
