I needed external storage to store all my documents, images and other important files, and this product with this price range gives me that flexibility , also as this is external i can move around this storage in different computer at my home.Nice buy. Drive quality is good , Its not as noise as it seems, and installation is very easy.

So it's not as small as some other external drives I've seen, norc is it the fastest I've used. However it does represent very good value for the capacity. It comes formatted as exFat which is good if using across multiple operating systems (for example a backup for your phone and computer), after formatting you end up with just over 9Tb of storage which was more than enough for me to backup my two laptops, three tablets, phone and as a backup for my games SD card I use in my retro handheld. Overall a decent solid build, would have liked to see a USB power lead rather than a barrel plug but for the price paid and the large storage capacity it's a solid purchase I'd recommend.

I hate deleting my video projects but at same time each project can take up to 500 GB to 800 GB of space. And these are life savers! I love the USB-c port, and it's somewhat faster than my older WD versions with USB3.0 option. I'm going to continue to buy these instead, and also good save on the money.I have a few and none have failed me yet. I did have one WD 8 TB break but that's because my daughter tripped over the cord and it slammed on the ground while running which was a painful moment because it was NBA content. Thankfully it was just a backup and archived sports projects, phew. The UnionSine just feels more nice too, it sounds like a new company but you can be confident they try extra hard to gain trust.

I recently purchased a Portable External Hard Drive, and overall, I'm quite impressed with its performance and design.Compact and Space-Saving DesignOne of the first things I noticed is how compact this hard drive is. It’s vertically designed, which means it doesn’t take up much space on my desk. The size is perfect and makes it easy to store, whether on a shelf or in a drawer when not in use.Fast Transfer Speeds with USB-C 3.2The drive uses USB-C 3.2, and I’ve experienced incredibly fast transfer speeds when plugged into a USB 3.0 port with the blue indicator. However, I did a little experiment by connecting it to a USB 2.0 port on the same laptop, and the difference in speed was noticeable—significantly slower on USB 2.0. So, to really take advantage of its capabilities, you’ll want to make sure you're using a USB 3.0 port.Easy Setup and UseSetting up the hard drive was a breeze. It’s truly plug-and-play on Windows. As soon as I connected it to a USB port, Windows 10 immediately recognized the drive, and I was able to start using it within seconds. There’s no need for any additional software or drivers, which is a huge plus for someone who values simplicity.Quiet Operation with Minor NoiseIn terms of noise, the hard drive is mostly silent during operation. There are occasional moments when the spinning noise becomes a bit more noticeable, especially in a quiet room. However, this isn't a dealbreaker for me since I’m using it for offsite backups for my NAS. The noise might be more apparent if you’re in a very quiet environment, but it’s not constant.Best for Basic Backup, Not for Critical DataIt’s important to note that this is a single external hard drive, so it doesn’t offer the advanced data backup features that you’d find in a professional setup. For critical data, I would definitely recommend using a NAS with RAID 5 configuration, which offers better protection. This external hard drive is great for basic backups and additional storage, but for irreplaceable data, you’ll want something more robust.

Got the 10 TB version. Here are the bad points first. It shows as 9.09 TB in Windows. It does make a dull sort of clicking/knocking sound somewhat often. Rarely, that sound goes wild and the thing sounds like a Geiger counter for a few seconds (only during heavy use I think). On top of that, every few hours, Windows gives me a popup message "Restart to repair drive errors" which quickly disappears. All that said, the drive does seem to work just fine. I bought this for use as a backup drive, and I've successfully written (and validated) a few backups. I'm not sure what's causing the Windows error message, or if the clicking sound is a bad sign or just normal operation (I've heard both answers), but as long as it continues to work, I'm fine with it. That said, I am using this as a *backup*, so I'm not really worried if it dies, since I'll have another copy of everything. Not sure how confident I would be in the longevity if this thing was holding the only copy of my data.UPDATE: I was right to question the longevity. 1 year later and I checked up on the drive to see my computer was no longer recognizing it. The drive now shows as "unallocated", all my data is gone, and any attempt to re-format the disk fails. It's not just a fancy paperweight. All this drive has been doing since my last successful test is just sitting on my desk. I definitely cannot call this a reliable product.

I recently purchased the UnionSine 10TB Desktop External Hard Drive, and I have to say, it has significantly exceeded my expectations given its very affordable price point. I have been using it consistently for about a week and managed to back up around 1TB of data from another portable hard drive without any issues. The performance, convenience, and features of this product stand out, making it a strong competitor to more well-known brands like Seagate and WD.The overall design of this hard drive is sleek, professional, and well-considered. While it requires an external power adapter, I find the long cord to be a thoughtful touch that prevents any inconvenience. Unlike many other products that often limit user mobility, the extra length of the adapter cable ensures flexible placement. The package also includes two cables—a USB-C to USB-A and a USB-C to USB-C—which is particularly valuable for compatibility with both older laptops and newer devices such as my Lenovo and MacBook. This USB-C to USB-C cable is a great addition, offering a level of versatility and modern compatibility that many competing models, like Seagate and WD, do not provide. Furthermore, the ease of replacing USB-C cables, as compared to micro USB-A cables used by some other brands, adds another layer of convenience and practicality. The longer cables also offer greater flexibility, which I appreciate and consider a key highlight of this product. From a usability perspective, the drive arrived preformatted in the exFAT file system, which meant it worked seamlessly across both PC and Mac systems right out of the box—another thoughtful feature that minimizes setup hassles. In terms of data transfer speed, the UnionSine drive impresses with approximately 100 MB/s copy speeds from my old seagate USB external hard drive. While this speed is on par with my Seagate and WD devices, I found the writing process to be smoother and without any noticeable slowdowns. It consistently handled transfers with ease, regardless of large files or many small files (like photos), making file management fast and efficient.During my use, I did notice that the hard drive occasionally emitted a bit of loud noise, likely from the hard disk itself. However, this was not particularly disruptive and did not hinder my overall experience. The cooling fan noise, in contrast, was negligible, and the drive remained cool to the touch even after extended use of two to three hours. This heat management and quiet operation are reassuring features, especially when dealing with significant data backups or transfers. While I cannot yet speak to the long-term reliability of the UnionSine hard drive due to my short period of use, my experience so far has been overwhelmingly positive. It has delivered performance on par with, if not better than, my Seagate and WD external hard drives with more established brand reputation. Considering that this is my first experience with this less well-known brand, I am genuinely impressed and highly satisfied with its performance, design, and thoughtful features.
