These are original Amass XT60 plug, not cheap copies.which offer a tight fit, ensuring a solid connection for minimal resistance. it requires a little force to clamp the end cap in place but please note that the end cap is hard to disassemble once it has been installed.

there is no need to use heat shrink and the ridged edges on the end cap provide extra grip when pulling the male and female connectors apart.

Advice: Although there are many clones more cheap to get than an original Amass version,we recommend to use the original ones, this ones have being more tested and go through more strict quality control methods. Don't let your expensive race quad loosing connection because of a cheap XT 60

these things are great ... I put them on all my 12vdc radio equipment (and car battery power) and power supplies so everything is universal

I hobby and build lots of different electronic stuff. My creations don't always look like perfection but most are 100% functional. This 72 volt "Frankinscooter" now can be charged with a single 36 volt battery charger. Sure these XT 60's look a little different but they hold up to heat and stay secure while riding around. With these affordable connectors my scraped together scooter can go an honest 50 mph. I can even beat Sir Ron Ebikes in my neighborhood! Thanks Amazon.

Good quality connectors which hold tight. When soldering do make sure to place the cover on first... yes I did make a bo bo. Other than that to prevent any over heating assemble male and female together before soldering and it will make sure the plastic does not deform due to possible over heating. Works best on 12g wires

Exceptional build quality, great value for money. Would buy these again and highly recommend them. The sheath has a very firm and positive snap to it, very secure. Very impressed with the Amass brand.

They are a really tight connection. I am very pleased with them. In soldering them, I first tinned the wire, but a little dab of flux and tinned the inside of the connector. Then I put the tinned wire into the connector and heated it all up. Watch out.....first time I did it I messed up the connector as I used too much heat for too long and the male connector slid out a bit. I tried to push it back in, but since I had plenty of extras I just made another one. Using them to connect motor legs to the motor controllers on the R2D2 I am building. Do not hesitate to buy these. They are quality connectors.

I decided to install Amass XT60 on all my ham radio gear instead of Anderson connectors, I did multiple adapters (Amass/male/female lighter plug, Amass/Anderson, Amass extentions, ect) in case I need to connect to other equipements. They are very well made and solid connection. Now I can move my all my devices to my station to mobile to club station with absolutely no problem. They easily handle 100W radio (25amps). I've been able to solder 10AWG cable on those but they fit bettwer for 12AWG silicon wire.

The most important thing for me was that they can take the heat needed to solder them, which is especially important for the female connectors with their shallow solder cups. I've had other XT60 connectors that simply can't be soldered properly because the housing can't withstand the heat needed to melt solder fully into the connection. I can't stress enough how frustrating it can be to have a connector melt when doing ordinary soldering tasks - especially when I have 40+ years experience soldering and know my techniques are correct and the connector melts anyway.I took a chance on these, "Upgrated" (lol) connectors simply to test how well they hold up to a variety of scenarios. I tried to imagine what "Project Farm" would do, so I built a bunch of sets and checked for soldering heat resistance using a variety of heat settings on the soldering iron, terminal pull-out (ripping a conductor from the connector), crush resistance, and connection pull-out (pulling apart a mated set). In all cases, I was very happy with the results. If you don't have a decent soldering skills and some tools to hold things for you while soldering AND you don't have "classic" 60/40 lead/tin solder, you might have some trouble with the female connectors - they are tricky, no matter what, but I found that these connectors were trouble-free and I was able to get clean, tight connections without needing heat-shrink tubing over the connections. Make sure to SNAP the boot into place when you're done - you will likely need pliers to get the boot set properly.

Amass XT60 Connectors These genuine Amass connectors slip together easily and stay snug. They won't ever come apart on their own but can be pulled apart without a big fight. No tools needed. The plastic is a little bit flexible. The cover collars snap on and stay firmly attached. You will need a pair of pliers to remove the cover collars, which is as it should be. These connectors are a pleasure to use. NOW ABOUT THE SOLDERING I have almost zero experience soldering anything, but I do own a huge soldering gun the size of a 9 mm pistol. I use it to repair cracks in large plastic pots that I grow peach trees in. I expected to melt several of these XT60 connectors before getting it right. Many reviewers of knock off XT60s complained of the plastic melting and of being brittle and cracking. So, I bought genuine Amass connectors. Happy that I did πŸ™‚. After watching a demonstration of how to solder I stripped 1/8 inch of insulation off a wire, clamped it in a vice, and melted a dab of solder onto it. It wicked into the bare wire end. Next, I mounted an Amass XT60 connector in the vice and touched some solder with the monster gun until a drop of solder dropped onto the gold-plated stud of the XT60. Held the tip on it longer and soon the solder spread into the cavity of the stud. Lastly, I touched the bare wire to the prepared stud, held the hot solder gun tip to the wire and, in a little while, the solder blended together. DONE. On the first try even! It's solid and looks good. 😁 I feel that with a proper soldering pen (that doesn’t have a tip the size of a butter knife) even a total novice can do this. Just watch YouTube demos and USE A CLAMP. This is a three handed job!
