The light is very bright on all settings, so that is great. However, the power button and buttons to open the light are hard to find since everything is black. I would put a sticker or spot of paint/nail polish on both if keeping the light. I also had trouble reaching it because my offset umbrella is too high.

I tried it out on our seating area which has an umbrella. It gives you plenty of light and then again, not too much. Nice.
