These patio umbrella lights are quite nice. They are as simple to install, have several blinking/solid light options and will display one of several different colors by simple selection from the remote control. The only downside and it is not really much trouble, is that you need to be within 10 feet of the lights to cause the remote to work. If the batteries are newer, you may be able to use them at greater distance. Overall we are pleased with this product and depending on longevity, would buy it again.

These are the equivalent of "fairy lights" very dim! Also, no easy task to install on the underside of your umbrella, and I'm pretty flexible typically. IF a company made this with a solar panel attached I would definitely get that over this, the batteries, and they were duracel, went dead within a couple weeks of use.

I bought these lights for my patio umbrella. My umbrella is smaller (6 arms, not 8), but I was able to easily adapt the product to fit. They provide a nice soft light for the patio at night and the remote control makes is super convenient to switch between various settings.

Quality is Poor. The first set I ordered was missing a part on the battery compartment so it didn’t work at all. The replacement set works, but the battery compartment has too much wiggle room so I sometimes need to jiggle the battery pack or open it to get the batteries back in place. Luckily I figured this out before installing the lights because Installation and removal is simple but a laborious process.Installation Has Some Flaws. The batter pack has a button to control the timer. If you are not very careful in selecting a spot on the umbrella to install the bulky batter pack, the umbrella won’t be able to close properly AND the wind will cause the umbrella to bump the battery pack button and randomly turn on the lights.Also this set is designed for a square or round umbrella. My umbrella is rectangular, which means some light strings are too long and some are too short. It’s not a big problem but it’s a useful detail to know.Not Bright. This is okay as decorative string lights but this is absolutely not enough light to use if you plan on dining under the umbrella when it’s dark. I expected more light. I don’t know why this has a dimmer because the lights are not bright even on the brightest setting.Don’t Lose the Remote. The only way to operate these lights is the little remote. There are no useful buttons on the battery pack itself. The only button on the batter pack is to change the timer duration, which inconveniently turns the lights on if pushed or bumped but doesn’t seem to turn them off.
