Either the manufacturing of this item has changed since the original listing was made or it's a faulty description. There's a metal screw and of course a metal return spring, but the housing and all related parts are plastic and of the same quality as what broke in the first place.

The only thing good about this was how easy it was to install. It broke after 10 pulls with the screw holding the recoil in place stripping out of the plastic housing. Overall a waste of money and further delay to finishing my project.

This is a high quality part. My Blower broke on the very first pull. I ordered this and it fit perfectly. The interior parts are metal versus plastic. This part is fantastic and should have been the OEM piece for my cheap blower.
