Deffinately a great purchase. Does as good of job as a power auger and at half of the weight. Using mine with a 20 volt brushless Dewalt drill.

I joined the many who switched to electric ice drills. I am older so the luxury of a super light drill is a huge plus. This Clam Ice Drill Conversion kit just made holding the auger and drilling so much easier.

This thing worked great... I recommend getting a dewalt 20v brushless drill with the big battery. Got one for 145 onsale at HD.. totally worth it. I had an old 6" mora blade worked ok but may have been that I had a old ryobi drill at the time not brushless. Upgraded to a 7" strike master laser blade cuts like butter and drilled over 15 holes with no problem. And so much more convenient than my gas and can run it in the shanty..

This thing is awesome. Works perfect with my strikemaster Mora 6” auger. I put my dewalt 20v drill on it and it will drill through 10” of ice in about 3 seconds. I giggled like a little kid the first time I used it. You really can’t go wrong. Buy it!

I use a Milwaukee Fuel 18 volt drill with a 8 inch auger. My drill plenty of torque, in fact without the Clam attachment its almost to torquey when the auger bites or binds it can be a handful.The Clam is a quality well made unit, easy to install I highly recommend the Clam if your using a electric cordless drill for ice fishing, it makes the process a hole lot easier.

Reçue très rapidement et le tout conforme à ce que je m’attendais.Semble très bien fabriquer et solide.Malheureusement ça ne vient pas avec le fitting qui permet d’installer la tarriere qu’on doit commander à part.Pas essayer encore car j’attend mon fitting et toute façon y’a pas de glace encore ici lol

I really love this thing its inexpensive compared to other powered Ice Augers and is so easy to use. After seeing mine out on the lake two of my friends came to Amazon and got one. I use the 20V Dewalt half inch drill with mine plus I have the Dewalt 20V chainsaw for fire wood, By the way the chainsaw is such a awesome tool as well one battery and two tools life is good :)

Lost my first one in a garage fire. Was quick to buy a replacement one. It’s easy to set up. Easy to use. Cuts through the ice with ease. AMAZING PRODUCT. I use a Milwaukee Cordless 18V and can punch multiple holes without issue through 2’or more of ice.

I've got a run of the mill Eskimo hand auger, a 18V Ryobi drill, and a love of ice fishing. I also don't have the extra money on hand for the ION Auger that I want.... so I scored this. The plate makes your existing gear a badass ice auger. So happy with this kit.From what I've experienced, you need a MINIMUM of an 18V drill to make this worthwhile. We tried a 9V on the ice for the heck of it, an it didn't do squat.The higher the AH rating on your battery equates to longer runtime (naturally), in some cases you'll want to have an extra battery or two if you plan on drilling a lot of holes. I've got a 4.0AH battery, I'm familiar with my usual fishing spots, so I'm not often making a ton of holes, I've got plenty of juice.You can get by just fine with a run of the mill hand auger if you've got this, just sharpen the blades once in a while.

I use this with a Makita drill and a 6 inch laser auger and love it Way easier than dealing with a gas auger and light weight. Easy to setup and relatively inexpensive for an auger if you already have the drill.

Looks like a sturdy built product I’ll revisit my review after trying it but friends like it so I’m sure I will. Shipped super fast, ordered yesterday morning here tonight. Of course I live in mn where they are shipped out of. Seems sturdy and was pretty easy to put together now that you don’t have to take the drill apart like previous model I saw online. I was a little worried about that. At $70 with free shipping, the price point is pretty awesome considering the strikeMaster electric cost 5x more.Nice way to drill the holes IN the shack without gassing the place out

I bought this and an Eskimo 8" hand auger. The Clam kit itself is amazing! However, I don't know if the Eskimo hand augers are built to the highest standard; because I took them out, and immediately noticed that the auger does not spin straight - it wobbles around like it's bent. I grabbed another Eskimo 8" auger at a local sporting goods store to make sure I didn't just get a bad one, but the 2nd one I bought did the same thing. Going to switch to a Strikemaster and see if it works better. Very difficult to get a good straight bore with a bad auger, plus it kept making my 18V Ryobi shut down (on a fully charged battery) from getting jammed while drilling. Again, this product worked perfectly! You should, however, check your auger and make sure it's rotating straight while using it.UPDATE: I got a Strikemaster Lazer 8" hand auger and it spins perfectly. No more wobbling. Definitely recommend Strikemaster over Eskimo, at least when it comes to 8" hand augers; I can't say for 6".
