Reaches my entire 2 floor, 2800sqft home by itself, and reaches my outdoor nest cams with good signal. It does not come with a PoE injector, so grab one if you're setting this up at home. Works great for us.

Not much else to say. They adopted immediately and perform flawlessly. I have 3 in my home and have no issues. I have several other ubiqitui products and I won't go anywhere else.

This AP covers four rooms of our downstairs and our outdoor deck next to the room it’s in. It also covers the room above it with a very strong signal. It can be wall or ceiling mounted. It can also be put on a table or desk. It’s a POE device so it only has an Ethernet cable that carries both signal and power. It needs either a POE injector or a POE switch but they can be at some distance. It has a blue circular LED around the top which can be turned off through the management app or browser. Management is done through the Unifi app on a tablet/phone or browser. If it is part of a larger network that includes a Unifi router like a Dream Machine it is adopted as part of the network setup. It can also be managed as a standalone device by downloading the correct software and adopting it. Instructions are available online. Read the instructions carefully and be sure to download the correct software. It’s an excellent component of a Unifi network.

This is my 5th purchase of these access points. I have 5 of these in my home. They last about 5 years then they burn out. UniFi has a great warranty. You contact them and give them the MAC address of the defective unit and they send you a new one. They pay for the return shipping. I bought this one to replace one that I purchased 23 months ago that failed. I could not have my office without a fast WiFi connection while I waited for the turn around from UniFi. There is nothing out there with the seamless roaming that UniFi has. It’s a pricy option but there is nothing like it. I get a steady gigabit connection wherever I go in my home or outside in my yard. I took one star off because these things fail and when they do they reboot endlessly. This time it drove me nuts thinking the RJ-45 connectors were bad or the cable went bad. I am a little smarter now. The next time one of these fail I am not playing cable games. I will just remove one of the other 4 access points and swap it. If it works then it’s another failure. Everything I have the POE switch, the UniFi server and the gateway are all UniFi. A few months ago I had to replace the UniFi cloud key which bit the dust. The system is bullet proof but it has a short lifespan. 5 years for over $2000.00 in equipment is a bad track record. Hopefully now the system can go without spending a dime for another 5 years.

I was having a problem with WiFi reaching my ADU. I looked at WiFi extenders then cam across access points. I took about a week to decide on which one I thought was best. After looking at a bunch of other brands I decided to go with U6-Pro after reading reviews, watching review videos and I thought the style was sleek and didnt look cheap.I had no problem with setup from the app. There is a paid service if you like which I think gives you more control and options over the U6 but I dont really see the need unless your using this for business. You can continue with install by opting out at the bottom of the APP.From the app you have basic features like naming your access point, setting password, turning blue light ring off or on and so on.I havent had any problems at all and connection speeds are great. This access point only powers up with POE and has no way to use a power adapter so keep that in mind.Over all Im super happy and love the look of the blue ring light.
