Why did you pick this product vs others?:Had the intake off so decided to swap the starter and this one is much stronger than OEM.

Purchased this starter to replace the original starter on my 2002 Sequoia with 266,000 miles. Price was reasonable, and the product quality seems excellent. Fit was perfect, and on completion, vehicle cranked and started perfectly. If you consider doing a starter installation in a 2002 Sequoia, God bless you because the starter is in the valley of the block, beneath the intake manifold.

Starter is fantastic, make sure you order plenum gaskets too. I also ended up discovering some coolant hoses and vacuum lines that needed replacing. 300k miles strong.

This starter looks better than the oem. Cranks motor great. Hopefully last 20 years like the last one, for it is a pain in the rear getting it in and out.

Replaced the starter on my 2004 4Runner V8. This is the optional 2 kW starter that is part of the cold weather package. My vehicle had the standard starter (1.4 kW or so). But this starter fits just fine. Everything was plug and play. I would suggest removing the rubber/plastic tubing covering the vent holes until done with the install and then re-install them as they break very easily. The starter motor is more powerful than my old motor and spins the engine noticeably faster.

Works well and was the higher capacity 2.0 KW unit. I hope your car is running because even though I had Prime shipping it took a very long time to arrive (almost 2 weeks to Canada, Normally Prime items arrive in 2 to 3 days.

I ordered this starter to replace the one that came from the factory on my truck. I decided it needed to be replaced after the truck wouldn't start after sitting for a few hours. At first I thought it was the battery but after the problem continued after a battery replacement I looked to the starter as the source of my problem. I believe that the contacts must have gone bad. There are 'rebuild' kits out there but if your going to dig it out you might as well replace it.From the outside this starter seemed to be built well, I did not take it apart to look at the internals. Installation was a pain in the neck at times but obviously doesn't reflect on the product itself. I have had this starter on my truck for just over two years, no problems. This starter fits a few different vehicles so don't expect detailed instructions for your application, however I am sure that you can find a video or post somewhere that can walk you through what ever you might be doing. I do recommend this to anyone needing a replacement starter as it has been hassle free for me since install.
