Purchased this item as "guaranteed amazon fit" for my 2010 JKU. Installed it, my fault for not tracing out the leads correctly, hooked the battery up and the Jeep started to turn over. Quickly took the battery lead back off, thinking I may have hooked something up incorrectly, hard to do with only 2 connections and both being different. Went ahead and took it back off and checked the factory wiring. The signal lead that attaches to the spade post was directly wired into the started instead of into the solenoid. Ended up having to just run to the parts store and buy another one. During the return process, there is now a red banner across the top of the screen stating this does not fit a 2010 Jeep Wrangler.

Due to a small design difference in the starter, the wiring connector that connects to the solenoid has a small tab that needs to be clipped back about 1/8 of an inch. If not, that tab will touch the signal wire causing the starter to turn continuously when you reconnect your battery cables. It's not a big deal. Just a little FYI.

Item came quickly, was obviously new, and quickly replaced my worn out started on my 2010 JK. Easy to do - 2 main bolts and 2 wires.

I bought this starter for my Jeep Wrangler, and though it worked well at the beginning, at soon as cold season started it started to fail randomly. I am sure that is not a problem with my battery as not only I have a new one, but it is random that it fails and if I tap the starter a couple of times it actually starts.It didn't come with warranty instructions and when I asked about it on the product page they didn't answer me.
