I bought this to replace the original recoil starter on my 18 year old Honda HRR216 lawnmower. The inertial arms broke on the original piece and made a terrible loud noise on the mower. I bought this and installed it in a few minutes. Lawnmower is quiet once again! This recoil starter has the longer rope that's needed if your pull handle is held in place midway up the mower's control handlebar. It's not the short version for engines with the pull handle right at the engine.

It came in a Honda bag so it appears genuine. Took less than a minute to install and go the pressure washer running. Someone gave me the wash with a bad pull string and this fixed the issue. It’s all one piece so if yours is broken this will fix it.I have the Honda GCV190 and this part fit perfectlyIt doesn’t have the sticker on top but it does what it’s suppose to. Just have to see how long it lasts.

How much more genuine can a genuine Honda part be? See photo 1.Cover came in a sealed bag that clearly says "Honda Genuine Part."Installed in 60 seconds. Perfect fit. No need to enlarge holes with a drill to make it fit as with non-Honda part and the genuine part is also cheaper. See photo 2. Bottom bolt doesn't seem centered in the photo because there is tension on the cable. The fit is so perfect that despite the tension, the cover stays in place even without the nuts. Fixed my mower and I just mowed my lawn before writing this review. My mower fired up on the first pull for my first cut of the season.Pay no attention to the review that says this is a knock off part.

Had to bore out the holes on the recoil so it would fit the bolts on the mower. It was quite easy to do. I was so happy to see it arrive so quickly. BJ
