I bought this to to look up my bathroom wall because of a suspected plumbing leak. I found out that there was nothing wrong with the plumbing except when my kids splash in the bath tub the overflow leaks a little bit. so with a little bit of silicone and some time I didn't have to rip up the wall just to discover that. Also I bought a used car that has a door code that can be used to unlock the car without keys, and that code was unknow and with the help of YouTube and this scope I was able to find where the manufacture hides the code and use the scope to find it and take a picture. the fact the it was cheaper to buy this one that uses your phone and the picture taking capability is what sold me on this one.

Two-Way Articulating Wireless Borescope/Endoscope Review.The borescope kit arrived in a well-organized carrying case with instructions and a clear case containing a USB-A to USB-C charging cable, camera lens wipes and q-tip style swabs, a brush and some extensions (mirror, hook and magnet) for the articulating camera tip. Also included is a padded phone mount that screws into the borescope handle.Setting up was simple. Download the client app (available for Android and iOS) and pair your phone with the device over Wi-Fi (the device creates its own Wi-Fi hotspot). The app contains settings for four camera resolutions, image flipping, and taking photos or videos.Charging the borescope took roughly four hours using an older 5-watt phone charger. The battery has good standby time. After testing the borescope, I set it aside for a week. When I picked it up again, it still had enough charge to explore the innards of a desktop computer tower.The power on/off, photo/video buttons and the brightness thumbwheel are within easy reach on the borescope's handle. The rotary borescope control turns smoothly and provides instant control over the articulating camera portion of the borescope. The fact that the articulating camera portion of the borescope can look backwards is a standout feature!The borescope cable is not as rigid as other borescopes I have and makes it easier to control its direction. The last 6 cm of the borescope is super-flexible, allowing the camera to articulate in two directions.The image quality is respectable. The camera's built-in LED light can be adjusted from low to high brightness. There is a slight bit of graininess under low-light conditions. The user guide mentions a 2 cm to 15 cm focal length. I noticed that the clarity increases with distance from the object. On my iPhone 15 Pro, the image had to be manually flipped into landscape mode using the app's controls at the top of the screen. The app provides some zoom, maybe 1x or 2x.Overall, I have no complaints. Recommended!

I ordered this to do some diagnosing on my cars engine. The fact the camera can articulate 180° is the game changer I needed.This boroscope comes in a very nice case which also has a smaller kit case inside which contains wet cleaning wipes, tiny cotton tip cleaner swabs, microfiber cloths, cleaning brush, 3 changeable ends for the camera and a USB-A to USB-C charge wire. There's also the instruction booklet and a mount for your cell phone to attach to the boroscope.At first I didn't think the changeable tips could be attached, but then I noticed the tiny ring on the tip of the camera does screw off. I'm not going to be needing these tips for what I'll be doing, but it is nice they are available if ever needed.The cell phone mount is spring loaded and opens just large enough for my cell phone in a case to fit. I measure my cell phone at 3 1/4 inches wide.The app is wonderful. Just keep in mind it connects through your WiFi and not your Bluetooth. With this app you can pinch zoom and rotate and take pictures and videos. It's the app you always wanted for this type of tool.I have nothing to complain about, or even mention as far as needed improvements as I can't think of any. 5/5 stars.

Device worked great for completing a difficult residential cabling job. The wireless connection to the phone was easy and allowed for the phone to be semi-remote to the camera which made things considerably easier than a display mounted unit.

I used this device to look inside my cylinder on a Royal Enfield Inteceptor 650 to chase an oil burning issue. The only reason it's getting 4 stars is because it doesn't rotate 180 degrees for me. I get at best about 160 degrees of rotation. More one way than the other. But overall the picture quality is not bad and it's easy to use. I give it a thumbs up.

I had rats eat the wire to a fuel injector - that I could see and fix, but I didn’t want to start repairs without knowing what else I was in for as I had to weigh up the cost of DIY vs $250 insurance deductible. Sent the bore scope in and found the nest under the manifold along with the wire they chewed off. Not too much damage otherwise (a few chewed sleeves and ties) so I replaced the connector (bought on Amazon), cleared the codes and saved $150. The scope was easy to maneuver, the images were very clear and the articulating end allowed me to get accurate pictures. I spent way too much time having fun with this, but I checked the entire engine which would have been impossible without it. Now to find some moth balls and peppermint spray.Update 01/01/25Tried using it a 2nd time and the articulation stopped working. Amazon are replacing it.

I gave it a 2star rating because the rotation part broke the second time I used it. I’m a Master mechanic and I use it for work. The video image is good, but the camera would not take pictures. I got a replacement one. I review it later.

Pairs easily. Image has good detail. Can be difficult to get camera to position where you want as it can turn once inserted. Neat that you can insert it into a cylinder turn the camera and see the head and valves. Cable is stiff enough to be inserted and flexible enough to maneuver around. Cool little tool, good value for the money.

This is an articulating endoscope camera for a smartphone. The flexible gooseneck is about 117cm long and has a heavy duty protective shield. It is a bit short and could limit what you can use the borescope for. It is very flexible, but is easily formed and it holds its shape. The camera end of the endoscope has a finer shield and is more flexible. The gooseneck attaches to the bottom of a hand held part that contains buttons and a dial. The buttons turn the device on-off, take pictures or video, adjust the light intensity for the camera, and the dial can move the camera end back and forth over a 180 degree path. The top of the hand held part also has a screw attachment to mount a holder for a smart phone to make it easier to see your images without having to also hold a phone with your other hand. The adapter for the phone barely fit my android pixel 6 pro. It did fit, but it was stretched to the maximum and seemed a bit stressed.The endoscope uses an app on your phone to control it and to display the image as seen by the camera. The app is available for both android and iphone. It installed easily on my android phone. The endoscope device uses its own dedicated wifi connection. You connect your phone to the endoscope device wifi and then open the app to communicate. Once connected, the image appears on your phone screen within the app. I found the image quality to be a bit grainy, but it was clear enough for use in a dark enclosed area.The specs state 0.8" to 5.9" for focal range. The 0.8" was about right for close up. The camera seemed to be in focus for much farther than 6" though and looked good out to several feet.The dial on the hand held part allowed the camera on the endoscope to swing back and forth through a 180 degree swing. It allows the camera to see into spots you normally couldn't push the camera into. Unfortunately, it only swings in one direction. You have to rotate the whole endoscope gooseneck if you need to see in a different direction.The app allows you to rotate the image if it looks upside down or sideways. This is very convenient for orientation.There was a setting in the app that allowed the image resolution to be adjusted from (480x640) to (1944x2592). I couldn't see the difference in the picture quality between any of the settings.The case is really nice and holds all the parts in a material lined molded base. The outside of the case is heavy material. The whole case protects the endoscope quite well and is great for storage.Overall, its a nice borescope, even with its limitations.

This is the only Borescope I have, so I can't really compare to others well. Connected to app right away. Can pinch zoom, rotate, my phone is OLED, so I have great contrast screen. Has precise variable led brightness on camera, not just 3 or 4 bright settings like most. Grainy picture on low light, but that is likely normal on 6.5mm objective lens on a low-cost scope. Color looks accurate.Refresh rate seems to be good. Has a very strong spring hold on cell phone. Most are 3' long, this is over 3.5'. It does not feel cheap. Has good focus on objects multi feet away if object is lit up from another light source. Does not seem to have high temp auto off. I don't yet know how water/oil/heat resistant it is. It just says waterproof camera. Does not say how waterproof. Easy and fast to take photos/videos. Shows Black accessories(mirror,hook,magnet), mine came with shiny Silver ones. I did not use them yet. I hope they don't reflect too much led light to interfere with the display quality. but if you drop them they are likely easier to see.
