My son experiments with micro-computers like the Raspberry Pi, and has recently been tinkering with different storage types and their read/write speeds. These CF cards give him something other than SATA or SD-based storage media, and he has found them to be consistently reliable and functional. Somewhere in my house there's an old digital camera that takes CF cards, so at some point I'll probably abscond with one of these and indulge my nostalgia, but these have been great for everything he's used them for since.

Well, Maid finally finished memory card. Two came in the package and they were a good price. Appeared to be well-made.

These Two Pack 512MB CompactFlash Memory Cards are a large amount of video and storage space for selected one-of-a-kind photos, etc. I had to find one of my older - portable card readers with this large size slot-to plug these into and then used the C cord to connect with some portable game cameras to gather data to edit later on a laptop. They seem to work fine and are perfect for my uses- Great find!

I purchased these in hopes of using these in a couple of vintage computers I have, particularly a Mitsubishi Amity "laptop" without any USB ports. To test the capacity of the drives and verify the listed size, I copied a number of random files, including video files to the first card. The transfer was relatively quick and I was able to fill the card yet still play a video file from the CF card. This is good, meaning there's no trickery making the drive appear to be larger than it is. I moved the files back to the hard drive in order to test the second card simply by copying that folder full of files to the new card. Then I put in the second card, and tried this and was told I had insufficient space to move the files. I checked the properties for Card 2 and instead of the 497 MB of card 1, card 2 only has 488 MB available, losing 9 MB of capacity. In reviewing the card, it otherwise appeared to work normally, but with no indication of why this card was short so much space. I find it troubling that the capacity would be so different between the two cards, particularly with no notation or explanation. Is it that there were errors on the second card causing a smaller volume of usable space? If so, how reliable is the card? Either of them? These cards will work for my primary use case which is data transfer and recovery from vintage computers, though I had hoped to use them to replace failing hard drives as a long term storage solution. Perhaps I am overly worried over nothing, since the difference is a mere 2% loss, but it's enough for me to question the quality. The labelling of the cards is like 90% match with genuine SanDisk cards, which also concerns me that they are perhaps trying to cause brand confusion. These cards at less than $23 US for the pair are half the price of the SanDisk cards they mimic, so they would otherwise be a good bargain, but I can't give these more than 3 stars due to my concerns. Your mileage may vary.

My old Cannon EOS Digital Rebel camera came with a Micro drive when I purchased it many years ago. I noticed that the Microdrive started to fail and slowing down.I ordered these CF memory cards to sue as replacement.I removed the original Microdrive and replaced it with one of these CF cards without a problem and it fitted well. Then I formatted the new CF Card and that’s it.I was able to shoot few pictures and then downloaded them to my computer just to check the quality and everything looked fine. These cards have a much lower capacity (512MB vs. original 6GB of Microdrive) besides that it works very well with my old Cannon camera. Recommended.

I really needed these for my old Nikon D70 camera which I use to take pictures of microphone that I sell online. All of my old CF cards seem to have developed problems and do not work in the camera any more. I recently tried a SD card to CF adapter which works but is much slower than an actual CF card and isn't always recognized in my camera. These actual CF cards work great in the camera and are immediately recognized by my camera. The images are quickly written to the card and I have not experienced any corrupted pictures or damaged folders like I have seen with the SD adapter.I actually used one of these to take this picture and several others for Amazon Reviews and it works flawlessly and the images are quickly written to the card so the camera is ready for another shot almost immediately. This is a great deal for the price and I can gladly give it 5 stars for quality and value!
