The silver plating has started coming off....and I can taste it in my drinks. So, now it's a glorified pencil and pen holder. Disappointed to say the least.

This looks and feels beautiful out of the box, but they have simply skimped on the silver plating which comes off beginning about the third time you wash it. I've only used it for drinking bottled spring water, and wash only with a mild detergent and a non abrasive sponge. Still, the silver-plate is already completely gone in spots, it's more like a thin coat of paint rather than electroplating. I've purchased two, one was a gift and so, I am now left embarrassed. So if you are looking for a temporary silver plated cup, go ahead and purchase it. I was looking for something that would last like other silver-plated utensils and cups and dinnerware that I have owned for 40 years without the loss of plating I have experienced with this seller's product.

I bought these to be vases for flowers at a party. For that purpose these have performed well. Now for actual mint julep cups for drinking I don’t know if I can say they stay silver shiny looking on the inside
