I've seen these used in home decor over the years and have always thought they were just stunning when used with flowers. It's actually quite a little gem, and I loved the packaging!

These are traditional Kentucky Derby mint julep serving cup. One of the novelties of the mint julep is that it forms frost on the outside of the cup. That can only be done if there is exceptional heat transfer. Silver is the best conductor of heat of all metals, copper is second. These cups made of copper with a pure silver plate. Aw, come on now, do you really want to pay for pure silver?I was a bit uncertain about the value for the money, I didn't have much to compare with. I don't think you would get the same effect with glass or stainless steel. Any way I bought a set of six. I think they are of enough quality to become heirloom items.

Got these just in time for watching the Kentucky Derby (at home) - very pretty & even prettier when full of julep!

Superb quality. Very pleased with the appearance and worksmanship. From Scotland...what more is there to say?

The item was exactly as described. However, I won't be able to use it for a drink container because of the sulfury smell and taste it gives to the contents.

We previously left positive feedback for Prince of Scots. We wanted to share this photo of the mint julep cups in action. We used a Kentucky bourbon whiskey by Bluegrass Distillers in Louisville and fresh spring spearmint from our garden. As we said, a mint julep never tasted so good as it does from a silver cup. Enjoy!JoAnne and Dave Shafer, Indiana

I am an oil painter, and I needed a larger mint julep cup than I had. There are so many dull, cheap imitations out there. I read other reviews, and took a chance. The reflections on the silverplate are perfect for using in my still lifes. It looks like a $250 piece. And comes in a beautiful and sturdy storage box with soft cloth bag to store it. Well worth the price.

Prince of Scots Copper Mint Julep Cup: it is what it says it is the cup come polished with a silver finish, though on the bottom ring on the out side that is hidden from view looks like there wasn't a polish finish on it, but it suits it purpose for me. it also come with a polishing cloth to clean it up.
