I’ve had aquariums and aquatic animals for years. This was for our turtle tank, and it is POWERFUL. Cleans the water efficiently, and still works when the water is low. Nice waterfall, easy to set up. Highly recommend

I've had this filter for about year an a half now . My African side neck turtle ( Bowser) is in a 75 gallon tank . With this filter . It's an amazing filter . I paired it with a bubbler on other side of tank to push water to the filter. But it cleans great. not noisy at all not like my other tank . Filters are easy to change. I do have one issue that's why only 4 stars .I've had to put a bridge underneath to help support the weight of it . It pushes a lot of water when it's plugged in causing the suction cups to not really work because the weight of the water flow . Like I said though I just put a turtle bridge underneath it and suctioned the cups to the side and still working perfectly fine .. hasn't moved or came unsucktioned since .

This filter for my 20 gallon tank is spectacular!!! It keeps the water clean for a long time. Good investment.

Finally a filter that works for my turtle tank. It doesn’t make a loud noise like the others I’ve purchased. Not to bad to clean either. My turtles seem to like it also.

I have three turtles of different ages and have tried a lot of filters over the years, but this one is by far the worst.First off, it barely cleans the water. My tank has never been this murky, and it’s really frustrating.Second, the design is awful. The filter doesn’t stick to the tank because, once it fills with water, it gets so heavy that it starts sinking. I had to prop it up on a platform just to keep it in place.Third, it’s unsafe for turtles. The current is way too strong, even on the lowest setting. My turtles get caught in this endless cycle where they’re pushed down by the clean water coming out, sucked back into the intake at the bottom, and brought up to the waterfall over and over again. It’s stressful to watch and dangerous for them.The only good things I can say are that it’s easy to set up, simple to clean, and pretty quiet. But those small positives don’t make up for how poorly this filter works or how harmful it is for turtles. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone unfortunately.

I ordered this like new and it arrived seemingly used? It was all sandy and seemed like it had been returned. At first I was upset but thought that as long as it worked I didn’t mind. I set it up and it worked great for about a day or two and then it would just fall off. The suction cups weren’t sticking to it that well and so it would just sort of fall down. It wasn’t until today they it toppled over while I was gone. I picked it up and noticed this whole time it was missing a suction cup.At this point I’m not very happy with this product but I know it probably works great if you buy and receive a new one. I won’t be able to return it however because it’s already been used for about a week and I just don’t have the time to do that - even if I could.Ultimately disappointed. Durability is okay, filter quality seems great and it is pretty quiet. I wish mine would actually suction onto the tank…It is a bit bulky however and clunky. If I could give it 2 1/2 I would - personally.
