I like it. I use it in conjunction with a static reducing arm that has a brush tip and is connected to a wire that I ground. So, I don't know if the pad helps reduce static, but I think it's a great pad for its weight, texture, quality and grippiness.

The cover that came with the turntable was warped and wavy. This one is nice. There is still static playing the LP, though I figure that's just the nature of the system.I'm very happy with the product.

It may reduce static, on that I'm not really sure, but what I am sure about is that it creates so much cork and rubber dust and particles that static takes a back seat to just trying to get the record clean again. Took it off after listening to a few albums and put the stock mat back on. Even tried cleaning it with compressed air but still was a mess.

Looks nice and works well for the most part, but unfortunately it is not the least bit “anti-static”. In fact it introduces MUCH more static than the rubber one it replaced! Literally about half the time the slip-mat static clings flat onto the record to the point the entire mat comes off when a record is removed!!!

Dump the felt. You can use the leather mats for looks but best is the cork and rubber combo.Just make sure you have the right thickness for your VTA (Vertical Tracking Alignment how the cart/amr, aligns with the record surface iot should be flat across).Doesn't matter if you have a $150 table or a $15K one a good mat an alignment protractor to set the cart properly in a headshell, and gauge to measure the tracking for the cart (as per manufacturer recommendation) and you good to go.You can download a protractor for free same for VTA gauge or make one with a index card) or pay $10-15 for each get a mat for $15 or less and a $15 or less VTF gauge. You can set up a turntable properly for $30 or less.Proper set up save needle and LP's from wear.It ain't rocket science.Wanna spend some money look at Disco Doctor V Vacuum record cleaning machine for $200 or a Vinylspin for $80 get some decent inner sleeves (Nagoka are good and cheap.Discwasher VRP or Mofi the top end.I like Disckeeper 2.0 and they also make great outer sleeves that are clear and don't tear.Use the Magic Eraser method to clean your stylus/needle. (youtube it). That's it until you become an obsessive and get all the LP swag you can find. But above are the basics for set up

Needed a good quality turntable mat at a good value and I seem to have found it. I'm not an obsessed audiophile, but this does what I need it for.
