Perfect for a first time snowshoeing kid. Fits my 4 year old great. And an added bonus of having them light up at night, although we haven’t used that feature yet.

My 3 year old didn’t have any trouble navigating these snowshoes. He stayed above the snow and made hiking much more enjoyable for everyone!

Bought 2 pr of these for my grandsons and they worked well. Bindings were easy to attach to their boots and they stayed on after hours of snow play. They loved them. Maybe not as durable as a frame and deck style, but the price is reasonable and again, the bindings are the key feature.

Well first of all it was suppose to be a Christmas for my granddaughter. Upon opening the box there was only one snowshoe, needless to say I was disappointed. I contacted Amazon and received very professional service from Sonia K....located in India. Unfortunately there was no more of those snowshoes available. It was my first time to return something and Sonia K was extremely helpful. I give her FIVE STARS!

These performed perfectly! My three-year-old nephew thought they were the best thing ever, and told us he was "snow grooving" when we took him out in the dark with a headlamp and the snowshoe lights turned on. They fit him well at around 35-40 lbs and I expect that he'll get at least another year out of them. He was able to maneuver far better than I expected, as they weren't terribly wide. Putting them on was relatively simple (or as simple as getting a toddler to hold still for a few minutes), and they stayed on without slipping. He seemed fine without using a pole, although he did try one for part of one outing. Most of the time if he did fall (primarily due to being tired), he was able to right himself without assistance. I would highly recommend these!

My 4 year old daughter chose these over the MSR Tyker kid's snowshoes. I'd like to say it was because the Tubbs' pivoting bindings (which the MSRs are mysteriously lacking) allowed her to walk like a normal child and not like a bowlegged duck (thanks for the laughs MSR). But no, the deciding factor was that the Tubbs light up. (Full disclosure: the lights aren't really bright enough to see during the day while in the snow and even if they were the batteries will quickly succumb to the cold climate your child is walking through and cease to function until they warm up again.)Also, from my perspective the bindings on these are more than adequate and much easier to deal with than the MSRs (and I own and love my pair of MSR Evo Ascents so it's not like I'm befuddled by that type of binding). Are the MSRs better quality? Maybe...probably. Do they offer better traction on steep or icy surfaces? Yup. Will you be taking your 4 year old on steep or icy surfaces? Doubtful. Are they generally overkill for a small child? Absolutely. Of course none of that matters because they don't light up.Conclusion: Any child small enough to fit into these (Tubbs SnowGlow) snowshoes isn't going to make full use of the MSRs potential. So save yourself a little money and get the Tubbs. They're easier to walk in anyway.

Really nice product, but the sizing didn't work for us. Our 6-year-old wears size 2 shoes and size 3 boots. These snowshoes were way too small for those boots. They fit OK if he wore his shoes only, but his ankles got cold pretty fast.If there's a way to order one size (or maybe 2 sizes) larger, I can't figure it out.But this is a very high quality product, with durable bindings that should last a long time. And he totally loved that they light up! We wish we could have kept them...
