The order came promptly. I needed sights for my Weatherby Element shotgun which isn't drilled/tapped for mounts. These fit the ventilated rib well. I did use blue LocTite on the screws. I did not use the peep sight option because of the distance in front of the receiver. The three-dot setup seems about right, though. Easy to see. I have shot this rig to make sure it is on target. Still solid after several 12 gauge shells fired. Ready for turkey season next spring.

Watched fitting videos. Simple no problem. The problems come when you find out the fixing screws to the rib on a standard 870 are barely to not long enough. Just one turn/thread of the screw is all you can get and the screws are better off replaced with longer ones. Then the end sight on the 870 has a round standard shotgun sight. So replace this with the red bead sight supplied and no screw! There is no screw in the packet that fits the 870 end sight. They are all too small in thread size. All easily overcome by obtaining new longer and correct screws, but this shouldnt happen for the sake of pennies in cost in supplying correct or and extra screws. It says 'universal' on the packet. Well an 870 is one of the most common and it doesnt fit.UPDATE:Contacted manufacturer just for details on screw threads to obtain locally. They couldnt even be bothered to reply.

Fit on one 870, but another 870 had a press-in front bead. Also fit on a Winchester 1300 20ga. Frickin nice set up for turkey.

Flimsy front sight, the rear sight is solid.

This was purchased with the intent to use the ghost ring. The biggest problem is that although the provided allen wrenches are plenty durable, the matching screws are most certainly not and stripped during the install attempt. This was not our first time dealing with hex screws, so the whole install was an exercise in frustration.Second, the listing photos are deceptive. There is only one rear mount, not two as depicted in the listing photo. The notched rear sight comes already installed on it, and if you want to switch to the ghost ring, it requires disassembling. This is where the poor quality hex screws come in again, because a modified hex screw is what the rear sight is mounted with. It was impossible to loosen it because it was so tight, the screw stripped. This is supposed to be the windage adjustment if you're using the notched sight, so it would have been problematic even if I had been sticking with that. When we finally, with a lot of improvising, got the ghost ring on and mounted on my shotgun, we didn't feel confident enough in the integrity of the sight given the installation issues. This was a wasted $23 and I'm very disappointed.

As a note, I have note tried shooting my shotgun yet post installation, this is only about the initial installation. In the picture with all the components, I hadn't tried screwing anything in yet and the small screws and larger screws should be flip-flopped.I have a TC Encore shotgun and these sights installed easily with this shotgun with one exception, the front sight screws that came in the package are not compatible. The screws to install the front sight are very short and only meant to screw the sight directly onto the vent rib. I had previously lost my front bead and had a replacement rib vent screw that was just a hair too long when just securing the vent rib to the barrel, however, it worked perfectly to install the front sight. So I used a screw I already had to install the front sight, not one from the package. This is the only reason why I gave it a four-star rating. The four screws (all of different thread sizes) are meant to screw the front sight directly to the vent rib and not go through the rib vent into the barrel. There are four front sight plates which you choose one that is compatible with the vent rib width. For my TC Encore I used the second largest size. I don't know what the widths of each are though. The plate that sits on the rib vent has a lip on each site that should face down onto the vent rib. This is what prevents it from sliding sideways on the rib vent. This plate has a small hole that aligns with a matching nub on the underside of the front sight. For the rear sight, the instructions don't give you any suggestions on how far back to put the rib vent, I put it as far back as possible. The longer screws in the package are to secure the lower plate and upper plate of the sight to the vent rib. I found it worked much easier to install when you slightly threaded the screws on one side and then slipped it on to the rib vent and then screwing in the other screws. The Tru-glo sticks are initially installed on the rear sight, but I took that off and put the peep sight on. It slides onto the sight mount and then screws into a nut underneath using the smaller Allen wrench provided. The small-exposed screw you see between the sight and plates of the plate mount is what you use to change the elevation. You loosen the screw that holds the peep sight in place for windage.I would highly encourage using blue loctite or similar threadlock when putting this on to prevent the screws from unscrewing when you go out to shoot.

Fits and works as described and works well in low-light conditions. Long term, a hard-kicking shotgun will shake things loose and and I've used Loctite and glue to fix that problem.

This is one bad ass sight. Installed on my Mossberg and it fit perfectly. Would recommend to hunters or people who shoot for fun.

Bright optics; just doesnt fit my Mossberg 22" vent rib barrel. The clips for the front bead are either too wide or too narrow for the rib. I ended up flipping the second largest clip over -upside down and really tightened down on the screw. The rear sight screwed into the mid- rib bead hole bit the mounting plate that is supposed to mount between the rib and barrel is again, either too short or too long and the rib supports are in the way. Great sight; just worthless for a Mossberg 20ga.

The Truglo Tru-Bead Turkey Sight w/Ghost Universal - Dual Color sight package value cannot be beat in my opinion. Many places you're going to spend just as much, if not more, just for the front sight alone. And here, you receive the front sight with dual colors as shown, traditional rear rifle sight and ghost ring rear sight (both with green fiber optics for easy sight alignment in almost any lighting conditions. The fiber optics really glow well in the outdoor lighting. The only real downside to this package is that the instructions are not all that clear, nor do they distinguish which four (4) front sight screws are for which possible make/model. Really though, figuring out which screw you need for the front sight hole is the toughest part about this.Though in the instructions it does not advise whether or not to use Loctite I would advise using it. Small screws backing out at the wrong time sucks. And yes, from now on, any shotgun I purchase that has the ribbed barrel I will be putting these sights on it immediately.
