I like this salt mill because you can control the direction of where the salt is going.Most all other salt mills distribute salt in a circular motion.The Graviti Plus Salt Mill distributres salt where you point it. (very desireable)

I like the way you just use a pouring motion to turn it on and it does a great job grinding salt or pepper. I recommend it!

Bought my own set 5 years ago. Use mostly when cooking and on table when guests. Purchased a set in past few weeks for a birthday gift and recipient is very pleased with these. Every home should have a set

I have the pepper mill and have used it successfully for many years. Trudeau makes a GREAT product. The problem is in the shipping by Amazon. I have ordered 2 of these and sent them both back. The first one was cracked. The second one, the lid was broken. They were sent in a plastic bag in bubblewrap. I suggest putting it in a box and sending it in this manner. Will I order another? Not sure. I am glad for the refund - but a pain in the a** to wrap it up and find a UPS store to send it! Amazon shipping - I hope you are listening!!

Love this salt mill! Have had it for a couple of months and still looks great. It is also great for putting salt on items with one hand! I loved it so much I bought 2… one for regular salt and one for Himalayan salt.

The reason for my purchase was to replace one of the pair that I purchased a couple of years ago. It never worked that good from the start. Then it quit altogether. When I contacted the company about a part or a replacement they said it was out of warranty. In my inquiry I told them I only used the product 4 months a year and it should have lasted longer.I have 2 sets of these, 1 for each residence. I reluctantly bought a replacement figuring I can eventually use the remaining working ones as spares when they quit working as I expect them to.Trudeau has the product manufactured in china and I’m sure they could have replaced the product or the part cheaply if they wanted to.Trudeau chose not to so I chose to write this review.Don’t buy this product or any product sold by Trudeau. Expensive and unreliable with no customer support

This salt/pepper mill system is by far the best kind I have purchased and over the years I have purchased at least 6 sets for myself, as gift to friends and replacing the ones that kept breaking. Quality will remain to be seen but I really like the sleek design, smooth no hand operation, just tilt so there is no fumbling and looking for a bottom on top or on the side. I’m not sure what other reviews about the problem some were having with the sticker but mine peeled off nice and easy.

I bought my first set like 7 years ago, but because it was the chrome covered ones, over time it has stained and tarnish beyond my ability to clean. The motor and function still works perfectly. I didn’t have to get a new set except that I just renovated my kitchen and the tarnished chrome just doesn’t fit the newness. We will probably use the old set for our bbq area but I’m still loving it. I bought the black set this round and pretty confident it will last me another 7 good years. Worth every penny!

The concept is novel. These are a bit noisy while in use but other than that they work well. Guests tend to get confused as to how they work and start shaking them LOL I had to throw out the first one after a while and replace it. The battery lid kept popping off throwing batteries all over the table. Rather embarrassing for guests. Another issue is putting in the batteries you have to turn it upside down. Turning the unit upside down causes the unit to start grinding as soon as you close the compartment lid. This throws salt where you do not want it as well as the adjustment knob on the top is likely to catch and pinch your hand. It needs an off switch for changing batteries! I would probably go with another set down the road. I only replaced the salt because the pepper was still working. Last but not least, it came with a huge label wrapped around the case that was a pain to get off.

This the greatest salt grinder. It’s battery operated. The first one I purchased I used about a year before it needed batteries and I use it a lot. At the stove for cooking and at the table. It also has a light that helps to see how much salt is being used, as salt is such light colored it’s easy to over use. The other thing I like is the size; the grip is easy, not “fat” like some other grinders. I purchased the second one to replace another brand of grinder in our summer home that lasted about a year before the motor system died and had to be tossed.
