Extremely well built, this carbon fiber extension tube is a super versatile accessory to have. I have used it multiple times to add some height to a low to the ground light stand and I've also attached it to a super clamp to extend a camera and/or a light out over something. It's a rock solid accessory with many uses.

I have purchased over the last several months two lightweight tripods for my cameras but felt I had to sacrifice the height to which they could extend. I had never given a thought to a tripod extension until I had seen this item. Upon receipt, I found it very lightweight but solid. I have only used my lightweight mirrorless camera on this extension, and it has worked well. I have not yet evaluated it using a DSLR with a heavier lens, but I do not anticipate any issues. In fact, this carbon fiber extension feels stronger than the aluminum tripods I have. The locking ring that allows for adjustment holds firmly and holds with the cameras I have used. If I were to have any concern, it would be the mounting points on either end that could loosen with use on this or any other extension for sale. I would strongly suggest that you always check mounting points while using your camera.In a pinch, I have also used this as a selfie stick for my GoPro action cam.
