Bought for my Tripster Series 0. Didn't fit. Emailed Benro tech support who said: "Because of it 2-section center column, the Tripster center columns had to be a little wider (22mm) than the standard 0 Series (20mm) to ensure stability. Sorry, but there are no 22mm short columns. (The next size up is 24mm)" Two Stars because this wasn't specified in the scant product description; but Benro tech support was responsive. It's going back.

it allows you to get real low with your Benro Series 2 tripods. too bad it isn't included with your tripod purchase. regardless, you need this unless all you shoot are portraits of people sitting on stools.

I lost my short center column for my Gitzo Mountaineer Series 3 and heard that Benro parts fit the Gitzo. Well this not only fit perfectly but the bag hanger also screwed in. This appears to be the same exact part both from appearance and quality at less than half the cost of the Gitzo part.Highly recommended

No instructions and not sure what the slot is for plus the bottom has some internal 3/8" threads . One of the rubber feet fits , so as to keep it from hitting the ground when the tripod is sitting low, I guess. The base plate is of hard plastic covering aluminum or magnesium with 3 set screws to lock your head down. The total length is 5 1/4 " from the top of the base plate. I'm not sure it's worth the extra $15 over the aluminum one, so I might be returning it and getting the aluminum one.

Reduces weight and ground clearance on my decade+ old Benro tripod. Like everything else they make, the quality seems to exceed the price point.
