I get muscle knots in my legs and glutes and my old smooth foam roller was ok, but this gets much deeper.It hurts, but in the good way that means it is helping break those up.It is also super sturdy and very durable.

I bought it to massage my back, lower back as well as middle back, and it serves its purpose better than a tennis ball massage. Note that you need to use it symmetrically on both sides of the back - left and right, unlike a tennis ball which can give more pinpoint accuracy. But rolling on it is more balanced and stable. Be careful not to press the vertebrae, though. It feels good for the butts, too. There are different surface patterns to simulate different types of massages, by thumbs, or fingers, or palms, etc., but it doesn't really matter so long as it is not too smooth. It is lightweight and portable, and is made of good quality, durable material. Great buy! I would highly recommend it!

I suffer from chronic upper back and shoulder pain. This handy small, bumpy roller is just what I need to give myself a good deep tissue massage. I can use it on my upper back, under my arm, on my IT band, gluts and quads. I’ve already recommended it to friends.
