Good quality for the price, it is a little smaller than what I was expecting at least the bigger one. Easy to use, looks good!

I fell in love with onigiri when I traveled to NYC about two years ago. When walking I found a small store that sold onigiri and LOVED it. Immediately I looked up if there were any places that sold onigiri in my town and was saddened to see that there were none. Immediately I ordered these molds so they would get to my home before my arrival from NYC. These molds are PERFECT, the onigiri come out exactly like they should and very delicious. 10/10!

The mold was so easy to use. Sturdy, easy to clean, and the rice did not stick to it. It comes in two different sizes. I used the bigger one, which made the perfect amount/size onigiri.

I thought the 2 would be the same size but one is smaller. Which is fine it make nice little rice triangles. East to use and clean. Rice didn't stick inside it and came out easy.

Small and large rice ball maker. Despite looking small, these hold a lot of rice. When you compess the balls, you could be eating a third cup of rice. There is a window flap on one side for pushing the rice ball out once it's compressed.Typical fillings for rice balls (onigiri) are Japanese pickles like Umeboshi, little salted apricot plums flavored with shiso leaves. But these are hard to find in the US and many people don't like the strong, sour salty taste. A more "Americanized" filling is fish. You can take flaked canned tuna, canned salmon or leftover cooked salmon, flake it very fine and mix with chopped green onion top, mayonnaise and Sriracha (Rooster) sauce. Spicy tuna makes a great filling. Push in about half the rice you'll need, make a hole in the center, leaving rice on the bottom. Spoon in a tsp of fish mixture. Put on a "lid" of rice and compress the ball with the mold top. Unmold, add a strip of Nori (laver) seaweed as a garnish and also to make picking it up easier. Top with furikake (rice topping fish flakes, yes they look like fish food) or just plain black sesame seeds. You can also use canned or chopped chicken with mayo and no hot sauce for kids. Or even a bit of chopped hard boiled egg or a chunk of grilled hot dog. Kids love these.
