Gets warm but works well. I use this because I have three computers at my desk with a KVM. I like to stay wired in via ethernet than wifi. So far no issues.

Absolutely an amazing multigig unmanaged switch. I mean 2 10gig ports and multiple. 2.5 gig ports this is a IT dream come true at a great price. Plug and play it doesn’t get hot it gets warm but not hot like some switches do. The speeds are right there no droop offs at all in speed. I used this to finally get wired backhaul to my satellites for my system and it’s been extremely solid with 0 issues. Just an outstanding switch.

Very easy to setup, good build quality, works flawlessly. I would recommend this for simple port expansion. Basically, it was plug and play. Very satisfied with the purchase.

I got this to have a 10-gig uplink from the basement to my office where the majority of my data goes between. I know the TRENDnet brand and usually trust it, so this seemed like an obvious choice. I am working with a single-wire CAT7 RJ45 setup coming from another name-brand switch that is tested working great when directly connected to my 10-gig NIC on my computer.Unfortunately, adding this in to the mix muddles things up. The connection still shows 10-gigabit duplex, but I am seeing a lot of intermittent dropouts in traffic for all devices connected downstream. I had 2 pings set up to visualize it; one to my router, the other to another device attached downstream from this switch. Sure enough during a work Zoom call, I saw a drop in connection. The device downstream still got pings, but my router (and therefore the internet) was unreachable for a good 10 seconds. Then suddenly, it was back up and running just fine. This happens about once per hour or so. The traffic dropout is definitely between this switch and my LAN uplink.UPDATE: I was within the return window so I replaced with a new unit. EXACT same issue, if not more frequent now with the new unit. Its as if the attenuation in the 10-gig receiver port is not strong enough or something. Unfortunately I will be looking for a different solution and returning this.

Nothing much to complain as a normal user. It's a normal 10gb hub with 4 2.5gbI use it as bridge between 2 workspace. Connected by 10gb and most of the devices are 2.5gb. Maybe change to full 10gb when the price come down. Ofc no poe in this price range.

Got this as part of upgrading my home network to support multi-gig speeds. I have the switch downstream from a Eero Max 7 and another 10Gbps TpLink switch. The switch worked as expected. Quickly negotiated the correct speeds and seems stable so far. I have Cat 5E cabling throughout my home and worried it may not support 10Gbps but wasn’t an issue.

I have had an excellent experience with Trendnet switches and this 2.5gb + 10gb switch is no exception. I will gladly pay a little more for this high quality brand to know I won’t have issue. I’ve had no problems with it since purchase (over 60 days in a high network traffic environment). Great value.

I've been using TRENDnet products for years and have never had any of their products fail. So, I took a look at upgrading my home network to 2.5Gb Ethernet. For the price, I thought I was getting a 2x10Gb and 4x2.5Gb switch. I was wrong, its 6x10Gb!I have 2.5Gb Fiber internet. My TP-Link router only has one (1) 2.5Gb port so unless I was flooding my network with large file transfers across the internet, 1.5gb upstream and downstream was wasted. Enter this switch. Well, two of them. I built a PFSense managed firewall due to constant attempted network attacks. I built a machine with two (2) 2.5Gb ethernet cards. My Fiber Optical Network Terminal (ONT) connects to the PFSense Firewall, then from there it connects to one (1) of these switches. I have a Synology Rackstation, and a wireless accesspoint for my cameras connected in the basement with a link upstairs to my office where it's connected to the second switch. I have my TP Link router connected, a Mac Studio M2 Max, an Xbox Series X and a gaming PC plugged into the switch, and the rest of the traffic is through a double NAT via the TP Link wireless gaming router.Performance-wise, all devices connected directly to these switched get a full 2.5Gb connection. Even testing multiple devices at the same time nets nearly the same speed. Now I have no wasted bandwidth and room to grow up to 10Gb/s.These are a must have, especially for local network transfers. I can transfer a 40GB file from one machine to another in less that a couple minutes at 2.5Gb/s - I can't wait to get 10Gb devices to utilize that speed. These are silent, stay cool, and the power draw is light. I highly recommend these switches.
