I needed a couple 2.5Gb cards for older computers, and I wanted something from a name brand at a low price. My search ended with this TRENDnet card. I bought two, and both cards were recognized by Windows 11 with no need for me to install drivers. That was handled by the OS. I get consistent 2.5Gb speeds with no issues, so there's not much more I can say. If you need a 2.5Gb card at a decent price, this card should be perfect for you.

I got this for my desktop when I upgraded my network to 2.5Gbps. It was easy to install and worked right away. It was easy and it works! I am getting the throughput that I expected when compared to other 2.5Gbps adapters that I have in other PCs. No complaints at all!

Like the description says it works with Windows. It does not work with Linux. Just be aware of that if you want to use it for Linux based Operating Systems.

This is a nice little device. I shut down my Win11 machine, opened it up, plugged this NIC into a PCIe x1 slot, closed the machine up, and powered it on.The system and device immediately came up, using an in-box Win11 driver. SpeedTest shows 2.2Gb/second (on my 2Gbps Internet connection). So, no complaints about this device. In fact, highly recommended.

I now have two PC's running the TEG-25GECTX adapter with no issues. One PC has an on-board intel I219-V one gig interface that is unstable in download speeds, the newest Intel driver does not help. I bought a TP-Link TX-401 10 Gb adapter and it just randomly locks up every two or three days (many other users are posting the same issue). Since I really don't need 10 Gb speed I bought another TRENDnet TEG-25GECTX adapter and replaced the TX-401. Works like a champ, no issues with unstable download speeds or lock-ups (random disconnects).

Works as intended. Only issue was it seems that you should load the NIC driver from the Realtek site, and not the Trendnet site listed in the documentation. The older-dated Trendnet site driver kept negotiating the speed back down from 2.5 Gbps to 1 Gbps, even though I had CAT 6 cabling and a 2.5 GB router port.Installed newer-dated driver from Realtek site, and no issues since on my Win10 PC.

I stuck this card in an old Windows 10 machine that connects to my router via a 2.5G ethernet port. Nothing to say except that the link fires up in 2.5G mode and everything works perfectly.

I am fantastically pleased with this purchase. With LMDE 6 (Linux Mint Debian Edition) on both sides, it is literally plug and play - and no farting around with compiling drivers and having to set ' ethtool ' values manually. According to ' lspci -k ' it simply uses the r8169 kernel driver.Using a 2.5Gbit switch in the middle (ienRon 6 Port 2.5G Unmanaged Ethernet Switch, 4 x 2.5 Gigabit Base-T Ports, 2 x 10 Gigabit SFP) -- also available here on amazon -- I'm getting ~181MB/sec out of the box (default MTU 1500) from Ramdisk /dev/shm to Ramdisk with a 5.8GB Bluray file.As 2.5Gbit is pretty much the last gasp of CAT5 cabling, this is outstanding value if like me, you want it to Just Work - and be faster than stock Gigabit Ethernet.Primarily I use Linux and Mac; I was getting much worse results with multiple 2.5Gbit USB3 adapters and was about to give up on 2.5Gbit when I decided to try PCIe x1 cards. Would definitely buy this card again!
