You can literally feel the heat radiate from where it contacts your back. I'm just guessing this would probably be too hot for the summer. Very well built easy to deflate and roll up. I can't get over how cheap this is I recommend this highly.

I have had sleeping pad before so I know what I needed and have some standard when it comes to sleeping pad. I didn't want to spend over hundred on it so I gave this pad a try. The quality of the sleep pad and the R rating seems to be great so far. I have not had the chance to test in real camping site as it's still freezing cold in Canada. I am 5 feet 8 and the dimension is great as I have enough space to place items below my feets. The lining is insulated and have an R rating should be an improvement from my previous sleeping pad. I tried indoor and it does maintain heat but should not make you sweaty. There are also 3 valves so it's easy to inflate. I wouldn't recommend blowing it though and I would use an air inflator. The seals seem to be well constructed so after 2 nights of testing I still wake up the next morning not on the floor lol ..So far, it is a great sleeping pad in my opinion. But the real test needs to be conducted outdoor. I would recommend this for portability (which is very important to me) and the price. Good size for all people and so far so good.

Great sleeping pad. I found this pad very comfortable especially when sleeping on my side. It is super light and packs down small. Couldn't feel the cold from the ground at all. I got it and inflated it right away to check for any slow leaks, it stayed inflated for 4 days with no noticeable change. It will be great for motorcycle camping.

Very comfortable. Ice and firm. Quick to inflate by mouth. Light and easy to set up or pack up. Haven't tested for winter camping yet.

At R 7.2, This sleeping pad is almost as warm as you can get. I checked my local big-box highly regarded outdoors outfitter and for backcountry backpacking, they had only 4 sleeping pads meeting this specs. They were all roughly the same inflated size (L, W, and H), the same weight and 3 of them were between R 6.5 and R 7.3. Of all of them, the Trekology took up the fewest cubic centimeters. On average, the other ones cost $375, so this Trekology one for only $89 (and that’s excluding any coupons or discounts) is a real steal. (If you wanted something similar but rated for only R 5 to R 5.4, the average cost was $258)I should mention that I already have a Trekology product and I have been very happy with it.The sleeping pad is quite comfortable. Like so many sleeping pads, it does make a bit of noise when you move but once you get a sleeping bag on it, it’s quite quiet. This sleeping pad is unusually easy to roll up once it is deflated. My first time rolling it up I managed to get it even more compact than when it arrived in its bag and outer box. As there is foil on the inside, one should be more careful handling this sleeping pad just in case. I’d recommend not using a pump to deflate it because the suction brings the metallic foil to the intake of pump. It’s very quick and easy to deflate this sleeping pad anyway. All of that being said, I still don’t hesitate to give this sleeping pad 5 stars.

When I trek I like to sleep in comfort, and cold ground is not comfortable. This sleeping pad packs into a tiny bag so takes next to no room in my gear. It offers very good protection from cold ground. It is not a mattress, it's a pad to protect from cold, so I still need to take an air mattress for comfort along with an seasonally appropriate sleeping bag. This is much less space consuming than my old beloved sleeping mat only R4 rated. What I don't care for is how slippery the surface is. Everything I put on it wants to slip off, and if you're on any sort of incline, forget it.So, while I really respect the R value, and how little space this takes, I'll stick with my old pad that stays put.

First, I'd like to address the stats called into question in another review:1. This mattress when inflated is 72" x 24" x 4". I'm not sure why the length reported is 2" longer.2. The comment about the layers got me wondering. So, I peaked at the layers through the air hole using a flash light and my finger to see inside. All the layers are there. I saw the outer fabric, the next two layers are stuck together, then there's a really thin almost foam layer in the middle. Then repeat in opposite order towards the other side.3. The valve goes at your head so you can deflate it slightly while laying on it to feel when it's comfortable.4. Most air mattresses should be deflated this way for comfort which makes the instructions valid.... except this mattress doesn't fit the pattern. It's most comfortable when fully inflated. Mattresses with this dimpled construction bottom out too easily otherwise. Now, onto the review.I really like this mattress. I own quite a few air mattresses. This air mattress for the comfort rating, thickness, and weight is about $100-$250 cheaper than options from more well-known brands. Now, is the R-value of this mattress really 7.2? No clue. Given my experience with other brands from this region of the world, I'm guessing that it might not be. Based on sleeping bag ratings and real world testing done by others, this could be as low as R4-R5. But even with that possibility, this is still a screaming good deal. R4-R5 mattresses with this thickness and weight start around $160.I tested this mattress in a cold room on a cold tile floor. It was really amazing to feel my own body heat reflected back up to me. Yes, I could distinctly feel it. I laid down on it a couple of times initially just to get the feel and ... fell asleep each time. Last night I slept on it. It was great. Is this mattress good for 330lbs? Hell, no. I'm 205lb and if NOT fully inflated, turning on my side puts my hip on the ground. But it was comfortable for me at 6' tall.Is it loud? Eh... I have louder mattresses. The loudest thing is the sliding of you on the top fabric when rolling over. I put a thin sheet between me and the pad, and it was pretty quiet (to me). I'm looking forward to taking this out on some really cold campouts.

The item came in a compact bag. It weighs about 2 lbs and is about twice the volume of a Nalgene bottle. There is a carrying bag, an elastic strap that goes around the pad when it's deflated, and a repair kit.It is not a self-inflating pad. I was disappointed in that but maybe it's not possible in a pad this light. It has a very well designed valve system; a one-way valve for inflating it which makes it pretty easy, and then the valve can be fully opened for very easy deflating. The pad is over 6 feet long. It is kind of narrow but if you don't roll around a lot, that's okay. It is definitely for 1 person, not 2.I inflated it in my living room, by mouth. It took about 20 good puffs to fill it. I was a little drowsy so I gave it a test for about 45 minutes on my hardwood living room floor. I weigh 240 pounds, but the bag held my weight and kept me off the floor for a comfortable nap.I pushed the air out, then folded it in 1/3 size and rolled it up. It actually fit in the carrying case.I'm impressed by it. I like it a lot.

The Trekology sleeping pad seems well made, is light, has a functioning intake valve that prevents air from escaping while blowing it up, and the top deeply Indigo color is very pleasing to the eye. I did run into a problem during deflation. The reflective material inside the pad would stop the flow of air out of the port so I had to cut away the part that was in the way which resolved the issue. The product information provided by the seller on Amazon is, however, misleading. The actual surface area of this pad is only 72" long not 74" as stated in one of the product photos. The main gripe I have is with the way this product is illustrated in the "7 layer insulation" photo where the layers appear to have some thickness to them. In reality when the pad is deflated there may be at most 1/8" total thickness for all 7 layers. There is a good reason why one is able to roll up the pad and stuff it into the 10.2" x 4.3" x 4.3" sack that comes with the pad. This leads me to wonder if indeed all of the reported 7 layers are actually present. The instructions which are included recommends "keeping the sleeping pad slightly underinflated for best comfort and durability". This of course makes no sense to me because this pad is most comfortable when not underinflated. I am concerned about making sure no part of my body while sleeping bottoms out this pad or there goes the reported R 7.2 insulation. It would be interesting to find out how they arrived at this value. I will hopefully be doing some camping in April (weather permitting) and at that time will be able to test out the warmth factor and durability of the pad. The little manual also has a warning to not over inflate which also leads me to believe that they don't have much faith in the durability of their product. If the testing of this product under real world conditions turns out to be positive then it will be well worth the current asking price of $53.UPDATE 3-2-25:Because of the recently great weather we had in late February in the PNW I was able to test this mattress while camping. While the temps got down to the high 30s at night the pad was comfortable, but definitely did not feel like it was insulated to a R7 value. Throughout the night it was cool to the touch and did not permit me to feel completely warm even while using my bomber Marmot goose down bag. In comparison my REI self inflating mat with an R7 value felt much warmer. This product could definitely be used for warmer weather camping, but not during winter.I was able to inflate the pad using a small rechargeable air pump purchased on Amazon for $10. This made the process much more bearable.
