It was on sale, great price. But, the original price was quite reasonable too. Lightweight with short legs means that it fits in my bookbag-type packpack. I'll use it to steady me as I photograph plants in the wild. I don't know how long it is comfortable around a campfire.

I bought this because I saw a grown man sitting in it. Let me be the first to tell you this is definitely for smaller children or kids. From what my son tells me it is comfortable. He’s six years old and it’s perfect sized for him. Definitely easy to use folds right out. Carry it over the shoulder doesn’t weigh much at all very portable. Sturdy and the build quality seems to be great, but like I said for smaller children, I would cap the age at about 12.

The stool itself is a great item...... Very portable, easy to open and close. However, for me being elderly and my knees are not great, it was too short. It was very hard to get on and off it.

That old saying about you get what you pay for ?Yes ! It's true !I wanted a small portable stool for work. I have to stand and monitor something sometimes. I could pull a heavy chair into the small space but I thought a portable stool might work better.Anyhow , this stool is a joke ! So small and cheaply made. I'd rather and it would probably be more comfortable to sit on the floor before using this stool.Too low , too, small and the poles poke you in the backside. A straight up torture device !

I got this so I could sit by my tripod during astrophotography sessions and it's a nice little chair. Does nothing for your back, but it's super compact and easy to throw in with other gear. Surprisingly comfortable to sit on.
