Most of the time replacing a transmission filter is spent removing the transmission pan and draining the fluid, it's not a difficult process.
If you are comfortable with removing the pan, popping out the old filter and installing a new filter, and then using the correct pan gasket to reseal the transmission.

The seal was included and fit very well. It has been installed for a month now, but as it will be changed again in a year or so, I won’t be able to comment on the filter’s capacity or ability to filter the particulate out of the CVT fluid.Once I replaced this and CVT fluid, the slight hesitation on take off, disappeared.

Bought product twice. Filter seems to have fit perfectly. However both times the o-ring leaked.Definitely warm your transmission up to operating temp and make sure its not leaking before heading out on the road.Unfortunately the first time I did not, I drove to the gas station a mile down the road and and came back to CVT fluid freshly leaking all over my driveway upon backing into my parking spot. Thankfully I didnt drive far or I never wouldve known and couldve done internal damage to my cvt due to such a mistake.The first o-ring leaked badly… the second… a drip every 15 seconds on warm upBolt was tightened to within spec with an in/ft torque wrench.

The filter size and fit are fine, the crush washer for the trans pan plug is fine. The housing o-ring is from another planet. Reuse the OEM housing gasket or you will have a problem.

I recommend replacing the external filter every time you drain and fill. People complain about the CVT transmission. Proper maintenance stops most of the common issues.
