Bought one of these and it worked flawlessly for a year, tried a cheaper model to save a few bucks but purchased another one after realizing that this unit is better made and has better mounting options. So far both of these have been working out in the weather in mid Alabama with no problem. Highly recommend these.

I have over the last 5 years purchased 8 of these for use with 12V game cameras. They have been wonderful in the wild temps that we see in northeast Texas. They have been very trouble free which was especially useful when we were living 2 hours away from where the cameras were. I needed them to be reliable and they were.I have had several of the older ones stop charging via solar, which isn't that surprising given how long they had been in service, but all but one will still charge via the DC adaptor, so I continue using them as battery packs.I recently had one stop working after less than 6 months and dealing with customer service was easy and very prompt. They had me run some quick troubleshooting and after they were satisfied that there was an issue, they quickly replaced the panel. The new one is up and working perfectly.I am more than satisfied and I would absolutely recommend them. The price is great, the quality and reliability is great and the customer service was unexpected wonderful.

Like wildlife cams but they don't half eat through batteries - 8 at a time. Since fitting this I've not needed to change batteries once as it appears to have fully powered the cam since.

I operate two Winghome trail camera solar panels in Florida, where we get lots of sunshine even in the wintertime. They worked flawlessly for months, and then one failed after 11 months and the other failed after 16 months. They can still be charged from the DC adapter, and then they operate as an external battery pack until the charge is drained, but neither recharges from the sunlight any longer.Enter Winghome Customer Support (Sarah). I contacted customer support at support@winghomeview.com and got an immediate response. After I answered some of Sarah’s questions, she sent me two new solar panels. Then she followed up a day after they had been shipped to let me know when they would arrive. They are now installed and working well. I told Sarah that was customer service above and beyond my expectations – fast, and more generous than I expected. They turned a frustrated customer into a big fan.

Wicked panels, comes with 6v and 12v ports, a great swivel and bracket. I've had 5 different solar panels for trail cameras and this one is the best by a long shot. Currently using on tactacam reveal 3.0 pro, and covert code black cell cams. Been a month 2000 pics each and still going strong.

To early in the deployment to comment on longevity or durability. Do like the great adjustable mount that is well designed and appears well made. Don’t like the 4 red LED lights on the face of the panel. They are way too bright and will draw unwanted attention.

After ten months my camera stopped working. It appeared as though the solar panel battery was almost dead because I only got one light when I pressed the charge indicator button. Now I'm in Georgia and we've had 100°,bright sunny days for at least a month. This solar panel is facing south and should have no issues getting sunlight. Also the battery in the camera is the lithium rechargeable battery pack, which was going dead on me after over two years. So just now I realize that this solar panel does not recharge any batteries except it's own. When the lithium battery pack went dead on my camera, the camera died. It didn't matter how much juice was in the battery pack on the solar panel. I don't know if this is supposed to be the case or not but I bought a new lithium battery pack for the camera and I'm putting the original solar panel back on it. I'm going to take this one down and use it for another camera. My suspicion is, if I put an empty battery tray in this camera, then the camera will have no choice but to use the solar panel battery for power; so the next camera I buy I will not get the battery pack form so I can test this theory.I'm not going to change the review stars yet because possibly I should have known this before I started. I was under the impression that it would use the solar panel for primary power and the lithium battery pack would just be there as a pass through and I was mistaken.Works good so far with my tactacam. The original battery pack was starting to give me issues after two years. I have the SK unit which came with a solar panel and I'm not sure if it just isn't big enough or if it was the battery but I've had to charge it several times over the last few months. This was the same price as a new battery pack so it was a no brainer. Note that Tactacam is a12 volt system. The strap holds it on pretty well. I did not want to put a screw in the tree.
