I used these to get my 2WD truck out of my back yard after a few days of rain. I attached them to my wheel then attempted drive off. I tried a slow reverse and a slow forward without success. After several attempts I realized the blocks had dug a hole and my truck became further stuck in the mud.I'm sure these are great for snow but not for what I needed them for. The product is durable and I would buy another set if I lived in the north.

We live in snow county and this year the snow just won't quit. We were in the Black Hills in SD and it had just snowed about a foot. We went on roads that we shouldn't have been on because we were hunting. We got stuck 11 times in 3 days and tracgrabbers got us out 11 times! We were in snow halfway up the drivers door once and halfway up to the passengers door another time. Amazing product for anyone who loves an adventure!

Be sure to only use on actual drive wheels. Can be nice in deepish mud though. One broke after only two real uses, and fell days outside return window.

The key here is patience when using these blocks. They are not the same as chains, and will only move you couple of inches per SLOW tire rotation. As the tires rotate, the blocks will move, tightening the straps. Which can make removing them a bear if you don't get the blocks back to the original instal position.I purposely stuck my Dodge 2500 in my yard, and only used rear axle (2wd) to unstuck testing just two of the four blocks. One on each rear drive wheel.Highlights: Easy to install. Easy to clean. Compact storage compared to chains. Easy to remove IF YOU reverse the tire rotation and loosen up the tension. Or, beat them back to the original position.Lowlight: None really, if you have reasonable expectations and follow the instructions. They won't move you along like chains will, and they will tear up leave ruts if you test them in your yard!

I have gone through deep enough snow with my pickup to get stuck multiple times now with my front end was buried. Put on all four tracgrabbers and was able to crawl through all of it surprisingly well! I have stock tires on my half ton pickup, so there was plenty of clearance in the wheel wells for these. The trick is to put vehicle in 4 low and let the tires slowly rotate. They'll slip until the rubber of the tracgrabber gets underneath and then lift your vehicle up and forward. Most common cause of getting stuck is getting hung up underneath, with the extra 1.5'' that your vehicle will get raised, you can get right out. I saw some individuals had troubles removing the tracgrabbers from the tires after use. A simple trick to get past that is to push the rubber block back to the original position on the tire, because they'll slide a little bit on your tire during use. This will remove the tension and allow you to get the strap undone every time. Best investment I've made for all of the snow we get and times I'd rather not shovel or have to call someone else to pull me out.

I was stuck in sand when attempting to cross a seasonal creek bed, but wasn’t really worried because I had a 4 pack of these tracgrabbers. Within (6-8) 360 degree turns, the rubber ripped off of the strap and then was rendered useless. It’s not like the commercials

Great product. I put my first set through a very rough test and they held up and got me out. I bought 4 more before I even made it home. One reviewer pointed out that it gets very tight after use, This is true. I was able to get them off with a little work but even if I had to cut it loose it is still far cheaper than a tow and far faster than waiting on a tow call.
