I bought this to replace the identical item packaged with my second-hand anchor winch. Entire kit was new in a damaged box, but the remote did not work straight out of the package. I tested this one before I installed it on the winch, and I am happy to report everything seems to be working fine!!

Works like a charm, now I can drop my anchor from anywhere on the boat.It came with two screws and plugged in and mounted perfectly. Took about 20 minutes to swap out. This is a update: 6/19/21After having this for a couple years, I've now had problems. It began not wanting to work from the remote or direct. I could hear the relays clicking, so I took off the cover thinking that maybe a connection problem. Apparently it's a relay problem and the relays are sealed and cannot be replaced which really sucks. So I put my old board back in and will no longer have a remote. The board that comes with it has replaceable relays. What a bummer after just a couple years of use.

It is wonderful. It is so nice sitting in the boat, dropping anchor and retrieve without ever getting up. Being in a short rocky. Boat, getting up to raise anchor and loose balance and fall over board. . The remote anchor keeps this from happening. I have seen this accident happen many times. .anyone with a electric anchor mate should own a remote switch.

This was super easy to install, it works great! I have my anchor mounted at the rear of my boat so when I'm fishing up front with the trolling motor this device makes it very easy to lower the anchor without having to go all the way to the back to do it.

This is a very useful option for my Trac big water 45 Anchor winch. ..it works very well anywhere on the boat. It was easy to change the relays on the winchs so they could be operated with this remote...would recommend this for anyone who has bought or going to buy the Trac winchs. .very nice product..fast shipping

the remote works after i had to take apart the anchor motor cover and remove the stock module and replace it with the remote module which is ok im a auto technician for 31 yrs the biggest down fall is the new module bolt holes dont line up with the stock module holes so they give you wire ties which was a poor design to me very chinsey id say but remote seems to be working at this time have only used it in testing so far but think it will work dont like wir tie thing

After installing remote control module the anchor worked about 5 times before starting to fail. The anchor will stop working. Need to release remote button and press again several times. Sitting on deck at cabin the anchor stated running on it's own. I used remote and started pushing buttons until anchor stopped running. 20 minutes later Anchor again started running on its again but this time remote would not stop it. I removed anchor power wires from battery. I will not use again as I don't want this anchor to start up when I am not at the cabin and over heat and start a fire and burn my $30,000 pontoon and $8,000 lift.
