In general the sfp+ works great, they are running a bit hot in my switch. My one has a low voltage warning (DDM) after contact tp support any divination of 20milivolt is fine. I am happy .

Works as intended in my TP-Link switches (SG3428XMP and SG3210X2) . Carries a 10GB connection over twisted pair cable. As this is the only 10GB copper module I've used, I'm not sure if all 10GB SFP+ modules get as hot as this on, but it gets almost too hot to touch. Time will tell how long the module lasts. Hoping it's a very long time as I have no way to run fiber optic cable in my walls. I'm stuck with the CAT5e that's in there. You can get a 10GB connection on CAT5e, but just on a short runs of cable. My total run is about 75 feet and I'm using CAT6A patch cables from the switch to the patch panel and from the wall jack in my office to the switch in my office. CAT5e in the walls, unfortunately.

Installed in a Unifi-Pro24-POE switch and getting 10gig speeds over copper without needing to run fiber to my other closet. Pretty warm to the touch, but no issues so far.

It works just fine at 1Gbps, 2.5Gbps, and 10Gbps on all of my tp-link gear. I bought some other brands on amazon that were a bit cheaper and one year in, three out of the 15 of the other brand have failed. I can't get ahold of that company for replacements. So far, tp-link has done me right in all of my interactions so I was pleased to find these modules

This adapter worked fine after i found a somewhat obscure forum post from TP-Link saying that if the connecting device was 2.5 or 5gb, you have to force enable flow control on the switch. Once I did this it worked perfectly to my firewall appliance with 2.5gb NICs, before i was getting strange bandwidth fluctuations with it.

Works as advertised in a QNAP M3216R-8S8T switch. Had to do a simple reboot after the initial installation, and it's been fine since March of 2024. Unit is on 24/7. Gets close to rated speed and steady transfer of large backup images (30-68GB) on my 10GbE copper network with nvme ssds at each end. Insertion fit is easy, yet snug. Locks easily. Barely warm to the touch, not hot like many other SFP+ modules. Quite pleased with it... will purchase more as the network expands.

I think the market for 10GBase-T is a bit premature. I've tried several vendors of these SFP+ modules and when they work, they work for a short period of time and then dies. This particular device failed after 3 days of operation. When I removed the SFP from its cage, it was very hot and I was seeing several DDM log captures that the SFP was failing. Although interesting for use cases that have Cat6(a) already in place, I suggest avoiding 10GBase-T altogether. At least for now. And for those that are going to attempt to get 10G to their host devices on Cat6(a), these device add a bit of latency. Just sayin..... up to you to try but for me any 10GBase-T I try will be Enterprise grade only going forward. If I even want to revisit this.

This thing is truly plug-and-play. I've had absolutely no issues though admittedly haven't had the chance to test it's full capacity. I have mostly 2.5GbE devices with only a single server utilizing 10GbE uplink speeds. Will be converting everything down the line but this is serving it's purpose until then. One downside, however, is that it does get hot. I mean, like, surprisingly hot. It's not an issue for me but it could be for some so just be aware.

I needed this SFP+ transceiver for my TP-Link TL-SX3206HPP, which is an awesome PoE++ switch. The four RJ45 ports on that switch powered my WiFI 7 Ruckus R770 APs, and this SFP+ transceiver went into one of the two SPF+ ports on the switch. This worked perfectly to uplink at 10G to my Netgear M4300-16x switch. The SPF+ transceiver is only slightly warm, unlike others which can almost burn you. It works perfectly and highly recommended!
