Instructions are not clear, and incomplete, but when you figure out how to install it, it works great!

Not designed for arbitrary location of printer. Must be hard wired to router. Not my configuration. Returned it successfully.

I purchased the TP-Link print server after reading the positive reviews on successful installation (knowing it wasn't going to be an automated process). That said, it turned out to be more complicated than I inferred from the reviews. After an unsuccessful start trying to follow the instructions in the positive reviews, I succeeded by going to the TP-Link web site and clicking on the "chat" icon. That brought up a number of tutorial installation options. I clicked on the option for a Windows 10 install, which provided step-by-step instructions for a manual installation. Following the instructions was not difficult and, when completed, I had an operational print server.

Good product to convert USB printer to Network printer. Configuration through Browser is breeze. Once IP is allocated and printer connected it could be shared with any number of users on network

We have a windows 10 home network, with one laptop sharing 2 printers with the rest of the household. However, if the system is rebooted, the other computer lose access to the printers. This has happened multiple times and it’s driving me nuts. So I bought this print server (the other printer works on WiFi directly). Thanks to other reviewers, I learned that all I needed was to set my laptop to the same subnet to get access to the printer setup screen so I could reset the IP address to our local net. THANK YOU. BUT, the cd just wouldn’t work. After resetting everything to the ‘real’ home network, I could get to the printer using the setup, but then it said ‘hit the NEXT button’. There is no NEXT button. I spent way too much time looking for ways to reconfigure until I just hit ‘enter’ out of frustration. And it worked. It put me to the next screen where I could set up the attached printer. The rest went well and voila - I can now get to that old HP P3005 printer from everywhere on my network again. And since it’s hard coded to an IP address, rebooting the pc no longer affects my access to the printer. Yay. Well worth it!

Works great in my environment. I bought one and then I had to buy 4 more to add unmanaged LabelWriters and Scanners. Having them on the network, I am now able to manage them via GPO; exactly what i needed.Setup:1. Plug in power and ethernet to LAN2. I connected to LAN and manually changed my IP to 192.168.1.13 and kept my internal gateway3. Log into print server with 192.168.1.10 (that was my default for the print server that said on the paper it came with)4. Change TCP/IP settings on the print server to match your internal network so you can manage it5. Set a static IP for your device6. Change the password for security

I have yet to determine if it is this unit or if my printer won't work with this unit. So I can not rate this device any better

I had no problems installing this once I got past the fact that the default IP is 192.168.0.10. Why this IP?? Who knows, but inconvenient. I had to alter my PC's IP and connect direct in order for the included utility to find it. Once the IP was changed, who needs the utility????Still, it works as advertised.

Works perfectly. I did not have to use the included CD. I just changed my laptop to the same subnet as the default IP Address and logged right in. Changed the IP and had the printer setup within 5 minutes.

The product have wider printer supporting coverage comparing to other printer server and this one have the support for printer queue which is hidden feature not availabe from someone else . It had been working for 1 month without any problem. No need for any driver and the product is second version and current in the techincal support life span by TP-LINK.
